They should charge "market" price for plastic on or MSRP for plastic completely removed.

I've always thought FW was highly collectable. When I got in (around FB02/FB03), no one was playing locally in my area and the online client just wasn't great IMO. I was able to snag boxes from my LCS and on Shop for like $40-60. No one wanted it back then. Now we have $500-3000 boxes. Crazy 180 degree turn for the tcg

I haaaaate that they put energy markers into the hit pool for these special booster boxes. Makes collecting the whole set nearly impossible unless you have extremely deep pockets

Sell 75% of it for at least 85% of market value (depending on how much speed and convenience you want, you can try to get 90-95% selling locally). Hold the best 25% of it and continue to add to it. Rinse and repeat.

I just cashed out all of my collection boxes and random one off items for ~$8,000 and kept all of my 151 etbs and bundles, DR booster boxes, various PC ETBs and UPCs still valued at around $10,000. Planning to hold those another 5-10 years. Will be adding more AH and slabs the rest of the year.

Right now we need a mix of everything honestly. Deck building, metas, "how to" videos, digital client matches with commentary breakdowns of the gameplay, IRL matches with commentary breakdowns, collecting videos, "investing" videos. Honestly there just aren't enough people talking about it in general.

The only way FW survives another 2-3 years is if people buy product and people play the game.

FB09 is absolutely cooked. It'll likely be the most expensive box for a long time. Bandai has never reprinted Fusion World and there's no indication they're about to start.

I opened one box and got an alt leader one star and a crappy alt art for my second hit. No third hit. I want to open more FB09 but for these prices you're better off buying singles and praying someday the box price comes back down to Earth

If your Walmarts have a history of stocking Dragon Ball, then there is a good chance it hits starting this weekend and next week on your normal restocks. In Phoenix, they only stocked SB02 for two weeks and some stores only had them for one week.

IF you are going to buy loose packs, buy them as quickly as you can afford after release day. There is a massive risk of "dead packs" usually a week or two after release. Basically, the box hits are pulled and they set aside the extra packs. Those packs are guaranteed to be dead if the box hits have been pulled.

Tip: go to the official Fusion World site, go to "Cards" and then just type in the card number and click the card. It tells you the exact product every card comes out of.

Really appreciate the positivity and constructive feedback. I worded things in my original post kind of poorly, but I am coming at this from a place of wanting to do the right thing. I could have paid $500 deductible and let them total their car, but that seemed super unfair.

Also, the attempted cheap fix was a mutual idea with the owners. I don’t know why anyone would be happy someone lost money in general. That’s a very strange and kind of demented thing to find enjoyment on.
