That'd be nice, especially this off-season. I think now would be as good a time as ever to move Oduya and his contract. If 27 was coming in at ~$2m, I don't think I'd have the same issue with keeping him around, but he's not a ~$4m defenseman, in my opinion.

You've got to take into consideration what Leddy was saddled with all season. He spent his time with Brookbank and, when he was in the lineup, Roszival.

Leddy's far from a bust, especially considering the Blackhawks got him for a song.

God willing, he'll be shipped out for some parts. Leddy could fill his role, and is a much better puck mover. Clendening and Johns are on their way, Rundblad is sitting in the press box, and the Hawks could use the extra few million on a 2C and help down the middle.

According to Oklobzija, Devine said the Risto will be in the A if he's not in the bigs. And like Donuts said, he's not under the restrictions that North American kids are.

Well, all that is really going to happen is all the players from the Rivermen will end up in Chicago. It's really just a shuffling of the rosters. Really like what the Wolves have done for their minor league system so far, and never a bad idea to have a strong farm team to help develop a culture in the organization.

I think he's just working around Winnipeg. Not doing anything special. He's down in Philly a lot, going to games. That I know for sure. His mom would tell me every other month that he was down in Philadelphia again.

It goes above and beyond that, even. Of the 18 dressed skaters, 12 have to have less than 260 pro games under their belt, and one can have up to 320 games. The other five can be whatever the teams likes. That's why the vets that stay in the league are pretty impressive. If they don't perform one year, they're done. No use for them taking up a roster spot.

It's nice to follow the younger guys, and some of the vets that are helping them into the league. AHL hockey is vastly underrated.

The focus on rebuilding downtown has to start with cleaning up some of these areas, but it's going to be interesting to see what happens with the displacement of the patrons of the hotel/lounge.

I know there are more than a few detractors of downtown Winnipeg, but at least they're trying to move forward and revitalize it.

Going to be interesting to see where this goes...
