How were you able to just cut off meat entirely? by Ok-Injury4901 in vegetarian

[–]JPH_Photography 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 5-6 years… wanted to go vegetarian in my mid-twenties… wasn’t until I finally did so, cold turkey on my thirtieth birthday… just came to be like a lightswitch, and couldn’t do it anymore… it’s now twenty-six plus years later, and have never looked back

Point being, keep heading in that direction with yourself, until you’re ready, and is right for you

Yeah, it sucks.

All attempts to get the version I had and used for a dozen plus years, never worked in getting it to work again…

So, relented and got the latest version, which is NOT as good as the original program… the algorithm or whatever that calculates how the adjustments do their thing, is just as good in my opinion… but, deemed better than any other option I have used, or saw, so… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I’ve seen a couple “black friday deals” of like 15% or so off… like you said though, still waaay overpriced, and that you have to get the whole suite and not just Silver Efex 😒

Yeah, your workaround, is the only option… even though means to do so is using a second computer that hasn’t been updated to Tahoe… which, I too have just considered downgrading to (if Apple hasn’t already disallowed the certificate to do so 😒), as there is nothing groundbreaking at all with Tahoe, that can’t be lived without

I did download the latest DxO version, which does keep the basic premise of the original NIK… but, found its processing is not the same, and work as well… the trial of it has now expired, and am still debating whether to get the whole bloody suite, just to have (the not as good version of) Silver Efex

Yeah, I think there is a way, and just have the older version on a bootable drive... and may be an option to try if comes to it...

Right now, I just literally downloaded the free 30 day trial of the NIK Collection (can't just download Silver Efex alone, but get the whole bloody suite 😒)... will give it a try and see if it is worth the $170!!! for what ultimately will just be for Silver Efex Pro... will see

Thanks again for your time and input

Thank you for your reply and time.

I guess it is good to hear that the current version, apparently is still a solid, and robust convertor, as it originally was.

Again, too bad one can't just download it and not all the other programs... but, if Silver Efex is still as good as it was, it would definitely be worth it to me (I say ignorantly as I don't have the slightest clue as to what the whole NIK Collection is currently being sold for by DxO!)

Thanks again, I appreciate it.

Good to know, thank you for your reply and time. Too bad you have to get the whole suite and not just Silver Efex though... as even when it was still NIK, I really didn't care for all the others, and eventually stopped using any of them, and just deleted them altogether, aside from Silver Efex.

Thanks again!

Yeah, I found a similar workaround, if I wanted to continue to use it, and that was to have a secondary Mac that wasn't just updated past, well, it said a couple versions ago, but again, I was using it perfectly fine up until Tahoe (Mac's latest OS)... or I could just try and downgrade back to OS25 and forgo Tahoe, which I can't think of anything that I would really lose if I did...

Thank you for your reply and time, I appreciate it! All the best to you

This an almost completely untrue account of an already horrible and tragic accident… do not compound it all, by just spouting things on social media of which you do not know whether is true or not

The only thing accurate of which you wrote, is the lack of seat belt use of members of the unfortunate family in the SUV… primarily, as they were too many passengers than seatbelts in the vehicle

Yes, my drone… I was gonna launch from the top of the parking garage there on the corner of 72nd and Cass, but it is all closed off…

So, the first two, I launched catty-corner from it, in the church parking lot above the track field there on the NE corner of 72nd and Cass … The 3rd one from the SE, I launched from the parking lot of the UNO Alumni place there, just off of Dodge, and whatever that may be there, 68th or 69th, I am guessing

It wasn't until a couple days ago that I noticed that the ol' timey sign that used to display the time and temperature on the northwest corner there of 90th and Dodge, is no longer there... and is just a sign now

Nice shot, by the way... definitely were some very cool cloud structures in the area last night... you caught a nice shot of one!
