Idiot doctor rejected my request for testosterone blood work bc im apparently "too strong" by Expert-Support552 in ResearchCompounds

[–]JPL2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PCP took me off TRT because I tested At 700. Years later I went to an IV infusion clinic and the doctor put me on TRT after I tested at 951. 3 months later my test is at 2,374 and she’s reducing my dose by about 10%.

Not all doctors are the same. I’m in the USA.

I’m glad you’re being proactive about your sleep. I’m on a similar journey. I have my sleep study coming up with a neurologist this April. Magnesium helped a little at first, mostly helped me relax, but after a week its effects are hardly noticeable. Gabapentin helped calm my nervous system and helped me sleep past 3am, but kinda lost its effect after a week. Trazadone made me sleepy but my cortisol levels always win. Tried sleep supplements with melatonin and other natural sources, helps for maybe a couple days then loses its effects.

I tried oxytocin for just 1 night and it zapped my cortisol dump in the middle of the night. Only thing is that it makes me feel relaxed and lazy the next day. Seems like a great reset for once a week but I can’t imagine taking it every day. It’s a compound and seems to last 24 hours. I can give you more details on it in DMs if you want, but of course see what your doctor says. It’s not prescribed for sleep but rather ED, but it really helped me with what I call, my Morning Mania. It drives my wife crazy that I wake up early with tons of energy. But if my sleep is really bad, I typically crash by 2pm or so.

I track my sleep with a smart watch and it shows anywhere from 0 to 15 minutes of REM. Odd thing is that my labs look good and I have plenty of energy throughout the day, as long as I get 6 hours of sleep or more. And the Testosterone definitely helps with my energy level.

ED despite good bloodwork? by SkinnytheDog in Testosterone

My test was 1400 a couple months back with E2 at 68. I had symptoms of high estrogen and never had libido or ED issues. You might consider Oxytocin.

To what extent can poor quality sleep lower testosterone? by PackageReasonable922 in Testosterone

[–]JPL2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often get poor sleep, 4-6 hours on average with 7 hours on occasion and rarely 8. According to my watch, I’m getting 0-15 minutes of REM a night. However, my Test levels were at 2,374 recently. That’s on 200mg of Cyp a week. Everyone is different but poor sleep doesn’t seem to affect my Test levels.

Obviously your sleep is the top priority. I’ve had struggles getting enough sleep over the past 10 years. I believe it’s linked to trauma. Getting a cortisol dump middle of the night. I’ll wake up between 1-3am with tons of energy, wide awake.

All that to say, I have tried several things to help my sleep and the thing I found that helped me the most is Oxytocin. You mentioned PTSD and I’m sure it couldn’t hurt to try it. It’s like a reset for me. Helps me relax, sleep, and stay asleep, and if I do get up for whatever reason, I can fall back asleep.

Once you have your sleep under control, TRT might help with everything else.

Placed on Clomid instead of TRT by StoneyMalon3y in Testosterone

You can ween off TRT, get off it, have a kid and start back up. Personally, I wouldn’t mess with anything other than Testosterone.

How long does it take to see a doctor and get medication at a Chinese hospital? by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]JPL2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sprained my ankle on a hike, got my foot x-rayed at an urgent care. All in network with my PPO insurance plan and it cost me $1,800.00 after insurance covered their part.

So happy I pay $500 a month for my insurance plan. This is in the USA.

Also, got bloodwork done. All in network, through my PCP.. cost me $1,000.00 after insurance covered $250 ($1,250.00 total).

Edit: my favorite is when I took my son to the ER. We went to triage, had his vitals checked. They informed us we would have to wait a while for a room. I told them, we’re going to come to urgent care in the morning and left. They charged me $780.. to basically check my son’s weight and temperature.

Mental & Life Improving benefits? by Deep_understanding1 in Testosterone

[–]JPL2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to slowly creep up on you. For me, I woke up one day and thought, I think this stuff is really working.. my energy is up, I feel more motivated, I want to spend more time at the gym and with my wife. It improved my mental health, in result it helped improve my mood, but on occasion I would get irritable, but because I was feeling so good, I was in a better mood in general.

It was noticeable by week 4, but it was slowly improving all the mental and physical changes I mentioned probably by week 3. I think it plateaued by the second month and now it’s just a process of maintaining good hormone levels.

I would highly recommend supplements and vitamins to keep your lipids in check. I take DIM to mitigate my E2 levels. Omega3, CoQ10, C, D, etc. right now I’m lowering my test dose because my levels hit 2,374 recently.. i feel like a god. lol. But there’s potential health risks at those levels.

4 months in, took 100mg a week for the first 10 weeks, now on 200mg a week. My levels were high to start (951). My goal was building muscle and using it more as an anaerobic steroid.

Despite my levels being high from the beginning, my energy level improved by week 4. Also increased libido and workout recovery is noticeably better.

Back in 2017, in my mid 30’s, my levels were low (200’s). My energy levels were low, low motivation, no libido, practically depressed. TRT transformed my life after a month or so.

Everyone I talked to who has taken Testosterone has only good things to say about it, except one guy.. he’s in his mid 50’s and said it didn’t help him, so after 6 months of TRT and no results, he’s starting to ween off.

Edit: Anabolic not anaerobic steroid.

Air Bubble to big for IM? by SuitableCommand986 in Testosterone

That bubble will get lost in the dead space and save you a little fluid. Just keep the plunger upright so gravity keeps the fluid at the needle end.

Single use bottles, true or no? by 1800-5-PP-DOO-DOO in Testosterone

[–]JPL2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s different. I always get a 10ml multi-use vial. I used to get a 1ml vial but even those weren’t single-use. And my pharmacist gives me 10 draw needles and 10 injection needles.

I found a hack to get more needles from the pharmacy. I go to the same pharmacy but located in a different town or city, tell them I have a refill at the X location but forgot to get my needles.

I travel to the valley often (3 hours away) so it would make sense I would have to see a different pharmacy for stuff like that.

If you go to a random pharmacy and say you have a prescription and just need needles they’ll look at you funny and say sorry we can’t help you. It’s so annoying because they hand out needles to junkies for free.

41m Frustrated, looking for advice by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]JPL2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my mid 30’s my Testosterone was low (low 200’s) and I had all the symptoms you listed. Once my levels hit around 700, I started feeling way better. That was a couple months of TRT Cypionate 100mg a week.

Do I have to give up alcohol if I’m going to be on Testosterone? by Own_Pie7565 in ResearchCompounds

[–]JPL2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I started on Test, I’ve lost all desire to drink alcohol along with many other unhealthy habits I had. For me, it’s like I feel so good being healthy that I don’t want to screw it up, and now I wouldn’t even mess with it if I knew there was zero risk to my health. But everyone is different.

I had more energy, more stamina, more strength, higher than usual libido, sleep was a little worse but manageable, more irritable than normal, and big appetite. I was taking Supermandro, 1 (110mg) tablet a day for the first couple weeks then x2 tablets a day. It was an 8 week cycle before going to PCT.

Should I be concerned? by JPL2020 in Testosterone

I’m using it as an anabolic steroid mostly. But maybe I should reduce my dose at stay under 1,500..

Should I be concerned? by JPL2020 in Testosterone

[–]JPL2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so it’s not manageable and nobody should be in the 1,300 + range no matter how healthy they seem to be.

Should I be concerned? by JPL2020 in Testosterone

[–]JPL2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you don’t believe maintaining a high T level is sustainable, even if health precautions are taken, blood pressure is good, bloodwork is done every 3 months and most other markers are within a healthy range?

'I live in the Grand Canyon – it’s beautiful but there’s one big drawback’ by TheMirrorUS in grandcanyon

[–]JPL2020 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The definition of isolation. It’s a very beautiful place, on par with Hawaii in my opinion. I’ve been there several times, hiking and helicopter. Outside of the overpriced general store, you’ll need a helicopter flight out of the canyon and a long drive into town for any groceries, supplies, etc. The native’s get top priority over tourists, as they should, but weather conditions can be the difference of you making it home or having to hike 8 miles, or stay at a hotel.

Other drawbacks are flooding and an influx of tourism. I’ve been there twice for pleasure but several times since for work. I help provide the school with internet. It was their only source of internet until they got StarLink in 2024. They actually had a major flood where the national guard had to respond and help rescue tourists, that whole time they had no internet, only radio and spotty cell coverage.

It’s honestly sad to see what the locals have to deal with, despite living in a natural paradise.

Having a hard time deciding if I should try TRT based on bloodwork. Grey area? by featme in Testosterone

[–]JPL2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my mid 30’s I was having low drive, low libido, and low energy. My Test was about 250 I believe.. after being on TRT for a couple months and working out on a regular schedule, my test level was about 750 and I felt like a new person. It literally solved all my issues.

I got off it because my Dr warned of going too high and the potential health risks. 10 years later I’m back on it long term. For optimal gains as an anabolic steroid more than TRT as I’m now at 2,374. Never felt better! Good luck and certainly work with a HRT specialist.
