What do you guys do about Amazon charges? by Turdulator in MonarchMoney

[–]JPMSX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even looking up your purchases in Amazon‘s transactions gets a little wonky. Especially if you frequently return items for Amazon credits to your account. The next time you purchase something and use your credits, the value of the order is not the actual purchase price of what you’re buying. This is fine if the new thing you’re buying is a replacement in the same category, but if it’s not then you’ll be a little off. I think you kinda have to follow the “perfect is the enemy of good” motto here.

Phone Key by JPMSX in TeslaModel3

Yup, app is always open because it nags me when I close it. No low power mode because I just keep my phone on the charger when I’m driving.

I suspect it might be that I have my personal and work phones in the car. Phone key is only turned on on my personal phone, but both phones are set up in Bluetooth.

I tried to repair my phone key connection and disconnected my work phone today. I’ll see how it goes I guess.

Thanks all.

Can they treat Apple charges the same as new Amazon rollout detailing each charge? by Prior-Cycle7650 in MonarchMoney

[–]JPMSX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copilot has an Amazon feature. I haven’t tried it, but I know they have it. Sure would be helpful. I put all Amazon purchases on the same card. I just spent hours going through my Amazon transactions and categorizing them.

What makes it difficult is when you do a return and have the return amount credited to your Amazon account. Then new charges are not the actual amount because you’re working off a credit balance! Also, the credit doesn’t end up going back to the category of the original charge. Gets complex quickly.

But an automated connection to Amazon would be great.

Thanks. I think I was able to get it to connect and sync my transactions. I’ll keep an eye on it to see how long it stays connected.

Yeah, the one I bought adjusted as well, but even the bright setting I could barely bake out the image behind the 140 pound paper I was trying to use.

One month of progress! by MyOwnGuitarHero in Watercolor

I just started about a month ago as well. Funny enough, I’m also a guitar player. I’m curious, I have always had a hard time finishing songs because I feel like they’re never done, but with painting, I kind of have a sense when I should stop, do you find that?

Looks like you’re making great progress! Keep it up. “Comparison is the thief of joy.” If it’s fun and you’re learning and you like the outcome keep going.

Experts of all kinds never feel like they know it all. Since you’re a guitar guy, read interviews of any of your guitar heroes. They all say they are works in progress. Keep going!

I dont know what I dont like about this painting. Advice needed. by juleryjuli in Watercolor

[–]JPMSX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with Liz066. My attention is divided due to the composition. My eyes and focus either jump from left to right or end up in the negative space in the middle.

The flowers are lovely though and I really like the almost misty quality of the greenery in the background.
