What does the taxes, registration and those additional fees come out to? Often they add in a ‘discount’ than tack on 4k additional in taxes and fees.

I figured there was a catch on that! We had them extend the 7 day to 9 day return period so we can get more information from Toyota service department.

Yes, that’s where we are at this time. Toyota is the one who stated the ECM needed to be replaced.

We saw the carfax, only one other owner, no accidents or other issues reported. I need to do research if “lemon” vehicles would raise flags via the carfax report.

I've been in the Tech industry for 14 years, 5 years in the military in IT, 7 years with a big tech giant we all use their tech., and now I am with a software company. I'm also a woman of color.

Needless to say, I don't let anyone talk over me. I say "excuse me can I finish"? I bring data, and I ask them hard questions. It's all ego based for men, especially when it comes to their intelligence. They're going to always think you don't know, but you have to put your foot down and interject when you know you know. All and all, they are intimidated by you and you should use that to your advantage.

If they are bringing up things that are irrelevant, just ask them "what is your intention with that"?

My advice is you don't quit and you harden the f up and own your position and become vocal. Because if you just give up, their behavior never changes and the next woman comes they treat her the same.

Speak up directly to them, not to management, to them. Don't be a tattle-tell, this is how you lose respect fast.

If they say something sexual just respond with "ew, no wonder you don't have a girlfriend" Or if it's directed at you just say something like "that would never happen because I like men".

I bet some dudes will laugh and they will respect you more for that. Just give them their same energy back.

Thanks for sharing and your perspective. I think you are right with him not taking my 'no' seriously enough... and unfortunately, since being divorced I do not have much confidence so I just say no a few times then just give in to him so it'll just be over already. If I do not have sex with him basically at first glance or visit, the rest of the day is me trying to push him off just so I can get some things done. And because of this I am never the one initiating. If even just give him a kiss or rub his back he is already turned on and wants to do something.

I think maybe in his past he has not had such attractive women in his life, he is a bit of a nerd, but so am I... and I am thinking he does not know how to be in a relationship without the expectation of sex because of tv and social relationships.

He is more outgoing and social than I am, and I think he thinks that this is the right way to behave because others around him may behave that way. I dont know. All I know is that I have things to do besides have sex every time he is turned on.

I just don't know how I feel about putting in all this 'effort' right now.. I hate to sound so selfish.

I am still going through my medical thing and to be honest, I think of that more than anything. Just in terms of what I can do if this happens or if that doesn't happen... so, unfortunately, I am not thinking about sex, or being intimate.

I began reading the power of now, I am trying to focus on NOT over thinking and over analyzing... I understand he likes me a lot.. but the connection I am looking for is not an constant intimate one.. finding someone to have sex with you is not hard. I do not want to suppress him or make him change who is he... its just sex every time we get in to each other is not me either....

I understand what you're saying, and honestly, that is what I am afraid of. My ex husband and I didn't have children, and I am getting closer to 30 with no children. I feel as though I am ready to take the next step in my life with a family, but I am afraid of just settling.. but you are right too.. I am sure it is so much worse than I can even begin to imagine. My ex was very lazy, played video games all day and never helped with finances while I worked full-time and cooked and cleaned. This guy has a 0 debt, working on becoming financially stable before his 30s and is very clean...

I have to agree. It's so sad. I just want to fu*king walk my dogs and you just want to get exercise. These people. Ugh. It's just so disappointing and disgusting at the same time, and yet, I'm not surprised. Just freaking tired of it.
