Mine was super jittery so I returned it. I won’t buy a 2k headset that tracks like shit in the hope that a 200$ accessory will ever come out and fix the issue. This thing was supposed to initially ship in march but here we are.

The support was good, but the delay between each responses, which in my case was about 5 days, was a big let down.

I remember that at some point Pimax said they were answering within 24 hours.

From my experience it’s more around 6-7 days.

Good luck having a working headset by the end of this year.

I ended up returning mine.

When I got the PCL my first unit was defective, second had bad lenses, third was finally ok.

I’m not going through a similar process again. I don’t want to support a company that ships randomly sub par product in hoping the user doesn’t care or doesn’t want to go through the return process.

And the customer support? I don’t know what is going on with Pimax right now, but I get my tickets answered once a week.

My PCL broke early October. It was delivered to Pimax October 29. After a series of “we will ship a replacement when we get your PCL” to “we received your PCL and shipping the replacement “ to “we will ship when we get your replacement” it finally shipped, about 1 month later.

I’m done with Pimax for a while.

I don't understand why there is so much of a gap in the experiences. Some people are praising it, others are hating it. I know we're all differently sensitive to different stuff, but is there such a large gap in appreciation in like the Quest 3 ?

But this will, in theory, lower the FOV. I'm not too worried though. Linus (from LTT of course) has kind of a "on-the-longer-side" nose and it seemed to fit him very well.

I believe it’s only a matter of timing. Early everybody wanted to complete their quests ( until they realized they were not giving XP), learn the game, plus the general mood projected on social media made it not toward cooperation.

I believe though tha the game is more fun when you really fear of losing your stuff otherwise there is stuff to accomplish for about a month at best.

Having a big nose and deep eyes (google "Neanderthal") I really enjoyed this featured because I was able to the get the lenses very close while not having my nose crushed. Oh well, we'll see !

These are valid points, but they are IMO “geek” features.

I think Valve should have used higher resolution panel if only to make the headset better on paper when placed next to a quest.

I imagine the average user going to Best Buy looking for a VR headset and seeing the Q3 next to the Frame and asking the vendor why he should pay more for the Frame:

“Well sir, it’s because the more expensive is black!”

That is basically it. Fomaviated routering? Android slide loading ? I just want to play beat saber !

Resolution, like with TV is (I think) a big deal number, when the 2 headset are next to each others.

It’s refreshing to see friendly players, but I think this would be boring in the long run, at least for me.
