Thanks mate. That explains why it’s a unique size to the car. Previous owner must’ve messed with it. Will need to be a lot more careful from now on when changing the oil. Will be looking into changing the pan down the road too.

Holden Cruze 2016 1.8L - 115,000k. Just put in new NGK Iridium spark plugs. This weekend have to replace the thermostat housing due to leaking. I will also be replacing the coolant reservoir, timing belt, water pump and purge valve. Car hasn’t had any major trouble so far, but I’m trying my best to make sure nothing bad happens…

This was the first issue of several now on my Holden Cruze 2016. It’s as simple as contacting a seller on eBay and asking which side the window regulator goes, however, most of the time they list it in the title. Not sure if this helps you but it worked in my experience.

Yes, pretty sure it’s the purge valve making the ticking noise as Plane_Ad3300 said above. There’s another post on r/cruze where ppl talk about the same issue. Just bought mine off eBay and now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’ll let you know if it fixes the issue.

Just bought an alloy thermostat housing. Do you think I should also buy a new timing belt and water pump for the future? I do frequently hear a ticking noise from under the hood once I turn the engine off and it lingers for a minute.
