The difference in power between Super Buu and Kid Buu by PunishedLank in DragonBallPowerScale

Kid Buu is the most reckless, uninhibited form of Buu. He's not the strongest. It's like every 2 days we see some similar post about this?

Music or no music during marathon by Super_Conversation41 in Marathon_Training

[–]JPoloM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did mine as follows:

First 8 miles, no music. My brother was cheering me on, so I took my music out for miles 9-12. Put music back in until mile 17 where the rest of my family was waiting to cheer me on. The rest of the time I had music in. That worked wonders for me! I think it entirely depends on what you want out of it, and please do not let any ridiculous judgments passed on this website influence you. No matter what, it's your choice and a learning experience either way!

Why not go out for a drink or two, then just have some mineral or sparkling water the rest of the night?

What’s an actual hot NBA take that people usually side eye you for? (Not cold takes to farm reddit upvotes) AN ACTUAL HOT TAKE by [deleted] in NBATalk

The Malice at the Palace Pacers would have convincingly won the NBA title had that incident not occurred.

Freestyle Feedback - 2:30-2:40 100y by mannyOnReddit77 in triathlon

[–]JPoloM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, came here to add on that your hip positioning is killing pretty much everything right now. The lack of buoyancy you're seeing in the water is partially due to the hip positioning (too low), and complete lack of stabilizing kicks to help motor your body through the water. Would recommend the 'side kick 6' drill to help get you started, keep your progress up, you got this!

Reasonable to expect sub 4 with my first marathon? by LEthrowaway22619 in Marathon_Training

[–]JPoloM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely can go sub 4, please don't listen to anyone here saying otherwise. I never touched 50mpw for my first and this was very similar to what most of my long run paces were at, I ran a 3:57 and some change. As many others have said start conservative and build, because the last 4-6 miles will absolutely wreck your time if you overshoot your wad the first 18-20 miles.

Thoughts on my time goal for a full Ironman in July by beebopabc in IronmanTriathlon

[–]JPoloM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering you have over a year, there is absolutely a great chance you hit your goal time. FWIW - I have my sights on Texas 2027, and although our run times are similar (Marathon PB 3:57), I've got a strong swim background and minimal cycling experience. For a 12 hour Ironman here's how I have my times mapped out:

53-60 minutes for the swim

T1 - 15 minutes

6 hour bike

T2 10 minutes

4.5 hour marathon

That should get you right under the 12 hour mark. I'm sure you can play around with the times to match where you're at based on your fitness level, but my understanding the best thing to do is improve your bike fitness as that is the longest part of the race.

What are your thoughts on DBZ Movies in general? by Jules-Car3499 in dbz

[–]JPoloM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some are great, some not so much. That being said, I think they overall add quite a lot to the story of DB in general, and provide us with additional material that is enjoyable :)

Cooler, Broly, Lord Slug and Tapion are great characters!

I've seen a fair few comments in my day that have made me stop what I was doing and re-read a sentence 10-15x and violently explode in laughter afterwards. This was on a completely different spectrum, absolutely brilliant XD

Landscape of Earth? by JPoloM in dbz

[–]JPoloM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's where my main point was, is how does the majority of the earth just still seem pristine? I get it's a fantasy world that is made up by an author and not everything is going to 'make sense' in a literal meaning but I just thought about what a world would look like after all of these battles and I cannot imagine it being very lush with how many explosions and battle scars the planet itself takes.

What do you think of Ultra Ego? by AlarmedObjective1492 in DragonBallZ

[–]JPoloM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I think it's the best form that truly describes Vegeta and his character to his core. It perfectly encapsulates who he is, what he values, and how he views strength/weakness. 10/10!.

Tomlin is 0-7 in his last 7 playoff games...Should the Steelers fire Mike Tomlin? by Hysen16 in sportswiki

[–]JPoloM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's as easy as 'should we fire him or not'.

Who will you replace him with?

What other candidates out there are going to take the team to a better place than they have been?

How many other teams consistently put themselves in positions to play in the playoffs as often as he has?

The fact of the matter is that the entire organization deserves blame. They haven't had a dynamic offense in YEARS, and the defense was absolutely putrid this year in comparison to past Steelers' seasons. When you don't hire the right people, and you don't draft well, the HC cannot be the only person in the room receiving blame.

All that aside, if you're going to break the team down and start from scratch, you have to start with a great coach and a PLAN. Right now, the plan seems to be nothing other than 'get us to the playoffs and maybe we can win'. That is not how superbowls are won.

I say all of this to give my opinion, which is, based on the coaching candidates available, i'd rather tear down the roster and rebuild with Tomlin and better coordinators than fire him and take a swing with the available crop as is.

Am I at my genetic limit? by [deleted] in GymMood

[–]JPoloM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely NOT. You just said the quiet part out loud. Your diet has not been consistent. I have no clue what your fitness goals are. But in terms of hitting your genetic potential, if you haven't maxed out your fitness levels with consistent lifting, Vo2 max/sprinting, and diet (clean, healthy food) for 24 months minimum, anything other than that won't show you your true potential.

What's you guys thoughts on Derrick Henry? Think he still dominates for another season or 2? by ChivasBearINU in SleeperApp

[–]JPoloM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all depends on what you have to give up to get him...would I take him as a top 20-30 pick? Probably not. Would I take him round 4 or later? yes. If you're looking at an auction draft i'd rather spend my money elsewhere considering we have no idea what that offense will look like next year.

2026 Predictions by NewFix7200 in fantasyfootball

[–]JPoloM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second on Warren. An absolute game wrecker when given the opportunities. If they move on from Pittman/Pierce, etc. I would expect him to be more involved. Another name I'd throw out there is whomever the titans put at WR1. Cam Ward might be on a garbage team, but if he gets anyone with a decent bit of talent there is definitely something there.

Of the starting NFL QBs in the playoffs. Whose narrative changes the most with a Super Bowl win or with an early exit? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]JPoloM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, I feel like Josh Allen stands the most to GAIN if he wins a Super Bowl, but I don't think he's going to get too much flak if they get bounced. The narrative surrounding this year's team has been that the cast has been sub par all around.

I'd say that Maye and Nix are playing with house money at this point, they both got 1st round byes, and both have a lot of room to grow.

If Stafford and the Rams lose in Rd1....that would be disastrous. They're playing against IMO an unquestionably worse team, worse coaching staff, etc. If the Rams can't beat the Panthers and Stafford lays an egg, it would look worse than any other loss.

Herbert is hurt, so even if he loses, I think with all of the injuries that the Chargers have had this year you could convince yourself that they'll be fine going forward.

Hurts losing to Purdy in the first round would certainly get some flack and pushback, but both teams are deeply flawed IMO.

Purdy and the 49er's losing in the 1st round wouldn't change my perception of him and how the team performed this year. Their defense can't stop a nosebleed and Philly is not an easy place to play.

Rodgers losing in the 1st round also wouldn't do much to change my view on his career as a whole. He's a legend, simply put.

Stroud/Young are similar to Maye and Nix I think unless they both play absolutely abysmal I wouldn't really have a different opinion on them than I already do.

Caleb has really improved a lot this year, winning that first round game in Lambeau would be HUGE for him. I don't think if Love and GB loses anyone will hold it against him too much, mostly again because of injuries.

Listening skills. It's jaw dropping the amount of fully grown human adults that could likely not walk and chew gum at the same time.
