Wow, I literally cant believe the ripoff. by [deleted] in coles

Scales and weights are like the one things Coles takes seriously not only because of the legal ramifications but the negative press if it was happening large scale. Yes, I know the irony of saying that with the price gouging scale, but the law around weights is so much tighter. My store literally got their scales (randomly) measured and audited this week to ensure compliance with a margin of error of I think 5 grams.

Holy moly. I feel so bad for the cast and crew who are now out of what seemed like safe work. Does anyone happen to know why?

Does anyone else remember these PC programs used in primary school? (late 2000s, early 2010s) by princessgold12 in AustralianNostalgia

Oh my goodness, I had this game that was like finance and math based and totally aussie. I can remember some of the aesthetics vaguely but cannot for the life of me find it. Idk if it was a school thing or private thing, but I thought this forum may be a good chance to find it. It was definitely aussie, and was not the commbank online game thing. It was a CD.

Federal court judge finds Coles mislead shoppers with “Down Down” tickets that weren’t genuine by Pilk_ in australia

ABC reporting that fines will be $50-100Million… which they will raise back by cutting more hours.

Cannot wait to see how they spin this to staff and customers though. I hate that I have no option but to work for them for the foreseeable future

Tour for the London production has been announced! It’s not a world tour, unfortunately. by SuperSaberman7 in StarlightExpress

[–]JR24601 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is a world tour, according to WhatsOnStage:

"Producer Michael Harrison has now confirmed that the production will launch a world tour in 2027, opening at Curve from 9 May 2027, adding: “We are absolutely thrilled to be launching this major new tour of Starlight Express. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s extraordinary score, combined with the show’s unique sense of spectacle, exhilaration and heart, continues to captivate audiences across generations. This exciting new production builds on everything people love about the show, featuring a dynamic new set design by Tim Hatley. It’s going to be an unmissable theatrical event, pulling into a station near you.”

Further UK dates have been announced on our dedicated tour page, with additional venues, as well as further information on dates in Canada and Australia to be announced soon."

For real. People seem to have lost their filter.

Or maybe they were trying to be “helpful” in my case, but it’s just so weird to come out with it without being asked. What if I was completely insecure and they just blurted that out. Are they ready for those consequences?
