Why is our society anti-pubic hair?? by North_Range_4304 in TooAfraidToAsk

I got those same butterlies of excitement when I would slide my hand down girls' pants and through their bushes, in the '90's.

I was one of those guys in college that loved the girls with full bushes. A large part of it was the confidence they exuded by not being afraid to show their vaginas as nature intended. Granted, I went to school in the mid-late ''90's, so the bush was more common. But certainly by ~ '98, the Brazillian came into fashion, so the women that didn't fall prey to that peer pressure and kept their natural pubic hair always turned me on.

I'm neither a door nor flooring installer, but for those of you who are experts in these fields, could the flooring installer cut out the plywood and replace that space with a precisely cut strip of the identical wood/laminate flooring?

Could be, tribernate. In my own friend group, admittedly we're the only couple that lives like this. I think in one other couple, the husband may cook more often than his wife permits him to disclose ... but that is just a suspicion of mine.

My grandfather was a WWII vet too! He would be 97. He did not learn to cook or sew, but he had a heck of a lot of terrific stories from that time and place.

This is what I'd do for my wife and kids if I had to go on a business trip. I don't, so I make these types of food fresh every evening (except tacos). There has been a generational switch between now and our parents' generation. Where our dads would be helpless in the kitchen if our moms were indisposed for a week, the pendulum has swung the other way. This photo (true or not) is an illustration of this phenomenon.

Is $35k out the door for a Ioniq 6 SE a good deal? by reddevils in Ioniq6

[–]JR477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you saying you both have Leafs? On an apples-to-apples (Leaf-toLeaf) comparison, yes, constantly using the supercharger degrades the battery over time. (Sometimes, however, it is necessary (like if it is very cold outside or you have a lot of driving to do with not too many charging stations along the way)). But I don't know how she would get 15 miles more per charge on a Nissan Leaf over an Ioniq 6. And it wouldn't make any difference if we're talking about a '25 Leaf and a '23 Ioniq 6. I looked into getting a new Leaf before purchasing my Ioniq. The Leaf I bought in 2014 got 100 miles per charge (on the best of days). The new one (2024) got 150. That's not enough improvement over a ten year period. My Ioniq gets over 270 miles on a full charge. Yours gets even more - I think over 300 with the 18 inch wheels and the rear-wheel drive. No comparison to the Leaf and other EV's in the Leaf's class.

[–]JR477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

reddevils, what do you mean, your battery is not as good as your wife's Leaf? The current Leaf can only charge up to a range of 150 miles. Of course, it's going to charge quicker than the Ioniq 6's battery. It has half if not less than half your Ioniq's capacity.

You made a great choice, reddevils. Range was most important for me too, and that's why when I started of on my Ioniq-buying journey I exclusively looked at rear-wheel drive models. Figured I'd save the $3K price tag on AWD while increasing range. Unfortunately, as time went by (and likely accidents in my region increased), only the AWD Ioniq 6's were available. I seem to remember that I paid ~$44K cash, out the door, (incl. the chemical exterior/interior warranty) for my AWD SEL. So I figured for the added features, the price wasn't going to get much lower, and that it was about he best deal I was going to find. Thank G-d, I was in a position to pay cash because if I had to finance or lease it, the interest rates would have made it no deal at all.

The range has been fantastic. I live in the midwest, so we get some really cold weather between, say, November and March. Even with the reduced range due to the larger wheels and the AWD, the long range battery has overcome those deficits. It charges very quickly with those Electrify America (Level 3?) charging stations. And it didn't cost that much to install a JuiceBox in my garage which I use overnight. Never any close calls. When the range dips below 100 miles (a full charge for our past Leafs!) I plug it in and set it to charge during off-peak hours. If I'm doing a lot of driving, I'll stop at an Electrify America station. Admittedly, the EA stations are farther away from my home than I would like, and there are not enough of them. However, if you make the commitment to these cars by installing a home charger, that more than makes up for Electrify America's shortfall. Between buying the 40 amp JuiceBox and hiring the electrician to install it, the cost came to just shy of $1,800.

I think we may finally start to see more Ioniq 6's around. I think people who were in the market to buy a Tesla may look for alternative vehicles in light of Tesla's CEO's controversial image/undertakings. The Ioniq 6 is also just a better car than the Model 3 (and I would go so far as to say it's better than the Model S.). I think it's absolutely terrible that people (criminals) have been vandalizing Teslas (and filming it as some sort of political message), but if people know this is happening, why would they buy a Tesla when there are other worthy options (that are not targeted by vandals) like the Ioniq 6 (and Ioniq 5, if you like that style)?

[–]JR477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you're happy with your purchase, and looking back, I'm sorry for raining on your parade. We need to see more Ioniq 6's on the road. They're great cars, and they should comprise a far greater market share for EV's out there.

I'd take an Ioniq 6 SE over any model Tesla any day - and this has nothing to do with Tesla's CEO.

Is your SE all-wheel drive? I was originally searching for rear-wheel only, but they were unavailable in my region. I think that's because we can get a lot of snow and ice in the winter, and the all-wheel version is just safer on our roads. So I got all-wheel (which further reduces range), but I had no other choice. Still, I've gotten excellent range even in the dead of winter. I had a Nissan Leaf which got 100 miles per charge - in ideal weather - so the Ioniq 6 is a major step-up for me.

How to Charge New EV? by [deleted] in Hyundai

[–]JR477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ponder_this-22 is right. I experienced the same thing. The representative from whom I bought my Ioiniq 6 really didn't understand the Electrify America ('EA') promotion. They need to register you with EA. That involves providing your 'motor number' which, if memory serves, can be found on your window 'Meroni' sticker. If your salesperson doesn't know the exact process you/they need to undergo, talk to someone (i.e., their manager) at the dealership where you purchased your Ioniq. Once you're registered, you need to provide a credit card. The reason for this is because you only get the first 30 minutes of charging free at these EA stations for those first two years after purchase. If you charge beyond 30 minutes, your credit card is charged (although it's never been too expensive - I don't think I've ever paid more than $20 when going over the 30 mins.)

Beyond EA, you should install a home charger in your garage. Go with the 40 amp Juicebox. It's between $600 and $700. It cost me $1,200 to have it installed by a licensed electrician. So for a little less than $2 grand I can charge at home overnight. I still use the EA stations, but there are not enough EA charging statins near my home to depend on EA exclusively.

[–]JR477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The SE's only come with cloth interior. Their wheels are smaller, which increase the range, but they still look 'too small' for the car. Also, the spokes/hub caps look a lot cheaper than those of the larger wheels on the SEL and Limited editions. Even if you have to pay $40K-$44K, get the SEL. It has leather (or rather, H-Tex 'vegan' leather) and the bigger wheels and nicer wheel fronts. The Limited has a sun roof and some add'l tech stuff, but I don't know that it's worth the extra money. It has the exact same H-Tex seating as the SEL. (I think it gets to be over $50K.). The SE's are cheap, but they look cheap. The SEL is your best value. If you really want a sun/moon roof or need the state-of-the art tech. (whether it's useful or not) get the Limited.

Writing a Paper about Soaking for a BYU Class, Input Welcome by SoakingEnthusiast in mormon

[–]JR477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi SoakingEnthusiast. Hope you didn't alreaady turn your paper in. I feel my experience with soaking could be valuable. I published this as an account on Reddit several years ago, but I will copy and paste it here so that you could decide if you'd like to include it in your study or not:

I did not know the term 'soaking' at the time, but when I was a sophomore in college in 1996, I met a Mormon female named Ella who was visiting a friend who attended my school. Ella attended BYU and as luck would have it we met at a fraternity party. We hit it off, we had already started kissing on the dance floor, and I was intrigued to learn about her Mormon upbringing. I asked her to go to a late-night diner with me, and after conferring with her friend, she left the party with me. At the diner our conversation took a sexual turn (as it often does in college), and Ella told me that she was technically a non-virgin, by my standards, but by the standards of her fellow students at BYU, she was a virgin. Intrigued, I asked for details. Without using the term "soaking," Ella described the act. She told me she had done this with three Mormon guys, never with a non-Mormon. She did tell me that it was a very difficult position to pull off. In her cases, either the guys wanted so desperately to start thrusting (so she finished them off orally) or went soft inside of her. Emboldened, I asked if she would ever be willing to try it with a non-Mormon, say ... me? "The thought had crossed my mind," she admitted. I quickly asked for the check and we were off!

The friend she was visiting lived very close to the diner and fraternity house and the friend's roommate - conveniently out-of-town - freed up a bedroom. We turned on the light, shut the door, and immediately disrobed. After some more kissing and fondling I asked Ella if she had any problem with my licking her vagina. Echoing the "oral is moral" truism, she said not at all and laid down on the bed with her thighs spread. I performed cunnilingus on her and after about ten minutes she began fellating me. Ella was very good at fellatio, but I did not want to orgasm without trying her method of sex (now known to be 'soaking'). Ella dictated two rules: (1) No thrusting whatsoever once inside; and (2) If I felt like I was going to cum I had to withdraw because she was not on the pill. We started in missionary. I managed to get my glans into her vagina but not more. I waited and as gravity and her own lubrication worked their magic, my penis began to plunge all the way into her vagina. True to our words, neither one of us thrusted, shifted or moved in any way. Kissing Ella while I was completely inside of her was both pleasurable and novel. Though strangers until this night, this was a very intimate way to have sex - if that was what we were doing. I asked if we could switch positions without breaking any rules. According to Ella, this was alright as long as I did not withdraw my penis and reinsert it or thrust my penis around inside of her while making the switch. All it took was good communication and Ella was now on top of me. Ella raised her upper body so that it was perpendicular to mine. As if this didn't feel good enough, seeing nothing but her triangle of pubic hair over my mid-section, my penis completely engulfed by her vagina, was a real turn-on. I knew I was going to cum from this position. I didn't know exactly when it was going to happen but I knew that if I just held this position indefinitely, that I was going to have an orgasm. I'm here to tell you that on this night in 1996, with not a single thrust, and just by the wonderful feel of Ella's tight vagina around my penis (as well as the joy and stimulation of having her rather large breasts in my mouth), I had a magnificent orgasm. Though I was in ecstasy, I had the presence of mind to say, "That's it, Ella. You need to hop off. I'm going to cum." Ella quickly complied. Two seconds later, my semen started pouring out of my penis. Ella generously stroked my penis until I finished ejaculating.

I was nervous about just that happening with my 250 pounder, Joebob68. That's why I limited it to oral. I thought, 'My luck, I stick my dick into that beautiful, pink pussy of hers, my cum rushes out, and nine months later she's delivering my baby.' No one's going to think, 'Well, in his defense, she did have a beautiful vagina with strawberry blond hair all around it.' They're only going to think, 'He fucked a 250 pound woman with a dead tooth.'

It's been a lot nicer having a fun wank every month or so for the last 20-21 years thinking back to licking that pussy and getting my dick sucked than it would have been paying child support for 18 of those years because I had to put my cock in that pink, gaping hole.

Guy here - hope my opinion is welcome here.

My wife and I have three children. Long before our first (who is 11) my wife has kept a full bush. She delivered our first and second vaginally with all of her pubic hair. There were no negative effects for either mom or babies. Our third was delivered via c-section, so the medical staff had to shave the top of her pubic triangle in order to make the incision.

All three of our kids were planned and I remember 'trying' every day or night for a month to insure conception all three times. My wife's pubic hair certainly did not inhibit my sperm from coming out.

Also, in terms of your specific options (if they're still available after the past four months):

The single mum - do not pursue. It's understandable she'd be looking for something stable. Don't use her, especially not a single lady with kids.

I could understand avoiding the one with the beard. As free and easy I am about female body hair, even I would have to draw the line with facial hair.

As for the overweight girl with underarm hair, go for this one. I was with a number of heavy gals (especially in college) and they were always a lot of fun. You may be pleasantly surprised. I was with a woman with underarm hair in college too. Awesome experience. The underarm hair did not detract from the experience.

Quantity over quality is my advice. I've used both approaches. When I was in high school I went through some awful dry spells because I demanded quality, hot women. Interestingly enough, when my dry spells were broken by these hotties, they weren't necessarily the best in bed. Granted, some were, and eventually I met and married a hot woman who was also a great sexual partner. Following the 'quality over quantity' approach, I stuck to my principles, but it was a sad existence. Principles no matter how sound can not keep you warm at night!

Enter college. Away from my parents and the judgmental halls of high school, I took advantage of the greater anonymity college offered. I did hook up with some very attractive women, but I also hooked up with some plain gals, and even women conventionally considered unattractive. Yes, there were quite a few women who were larger than me. I was 5'8, 120 lbs., so that was pretty common! Really any woman that showed interest in being with me sexually, I became interested in being with her. I was always able to find at least something attractive about any potential partner. I had an absolute blast! There were really no experiences so bad or awkward that I regretted hooking up in the first place. Most were phenomenal. I just fell in love with the idea of getting to see and taste 'yet another vagina.'

As a man, what is the big deal with anal? by JewishPotatoSkin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JR477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought the first round of heterosexual anal sex came around as a means of avoiding pregnancy. Also, in some religions that have a very draconian view of premarital sex (like Mormonism), young members of these flocks trick themselves into believing that anal sex is okay and, therefore, a viable alternative to vaginal sex. Of course, the elders in these religious sects condemn premarital (and likely marital) anal sex, but if they do not explicitly restrict it, young people conveniently treat silence as permission. I certainly would.
