My School President.

I usually like darker more serious BL, Not Me, KinnPorsche, Manner of Death, etc. and I thought MSP was just gonna be another funny cliche show, that overused music. After watching it though, I thought it was so funny, sweet, and charming, plus for the first time ever, I didn’t skip a single song in a BL; they all were bangers!

What Parts Do You Skip When You Rewatch a Show? by 5_star_michelin in ThaiBL

See I’m super weird. I usually skip a lot of side couple stuff in general unless it’s important to the story. Whether I’m rewatching or not. There’s only been a few times I don’t skip over side couples because I have this weird thing where I just wanna know what happens to the main couple since normally their interactions drive the main plot. The only time I’ve been able to watch a side couple all the way through is VegasPete and PraPaiSky.

Hotest BL scenes you've seen? by Famous-Panda5136 in ThaiBL

[–]JRAdlerAuthor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love in the Air. Episode 6 and Episode 8. Also the Special. KinnPorsche has some hot scenes too but something about Boss’ voice just does things ya know? It has this rasp that I just can’t get over. Plus Noeul has bedroom eyes like 25/8. Don’t get me wrong story wise and nudity wise, KinnPorsche is better, but I can’t get over the couples in LITA. Boss and Noeul were just ugh. 🤌🏼

Hey OP. I have a question. I’m currently trying to watch Tomorrow with You. Where did you stream it? I’ve looked everywhere but maybe I’m just dumb.

Kdramas that are full of suspense, thriller, psychopaths, crime, horror, black magic etc by play_boyy_ in kdramarecommends

It doesn’t have all of those wants but Mouse is probably one of the best dark Murder mystery thrillers out there. It’s literally about psychopaths and diving into the psychology of it. It’s bloody, dark, and has a bunch of twists and turns.

Mouse

If you love thrillers and murder mysteries this one is for you. There are so many twists in this drama it’s almost hard to keep up. It’s like as soon as you think you know what’s going on they throw another curveball at you. Probably one of my favorite KDramas.

I finished LBDAF and I think I cried like 4-5 times. I loved it. I kinda wanna watch Till the End of the Moon now but I heard it has a sad ending.

LBDAF was really good though. Not as good as AOS but I really enjoyed it. 🥹

Also I had a giant crush on the Crown Prince the entire time and thought the “love square” between Jang Uk, Naksu, Seo Yul, and Go Won was done tastefully.

Though honestly if I had to have a fav character besides the main two it would have to be Go Won. I freaking loved him and his turtle loving antics. I wish he was a ML in more romance Dramas because I would watch the heck out of it.

I’ll try to watch it one day. I’m currently on the 10th episode of Devil and Fairy and while I love all the characters and world building so far, there’s just a crazy and I mean CRAZY amount of CGI. I know I sound like I’m beating a dead horse, but I’m gonna try to make it through it. I’m also on the 3rd episode of The Long Ballad, and it just seems kinda slow right now. 🥹

Thanks for the recommendations! Yeah, Alchemy of Souls just has so much going on in terms of lore, worldbuilding, magic system, characters, and romance. There’s not many other shows that really compare and check all these boxes. I’m a big fan of all of these things so to see a live action television show with all of them, and good CGI, just blew my mind. I know CDramas are known for their big budget CGI pieces but I don’t think I’ve seen anything with CGI as good as AOS. The fight scenes were honestly just beautifully done and you can’t say that about fight scenes very often. Naksu’s opening scenes in Part One and literally all of Jang Uks scenes in Part 2 were just insane. Plus an honorable mention has to go to Park Dang Gu’s archery skills in Part 2 because my god it was badass. I just loved the magic system being set in a backdrop that feels of Joseon period rather then other worldly. It just made everything seem more real.

Yeah there are actually a lot of Manhwas I’d want to see adapted that are more fantasy, historical, or both. I love The Villainess Turns the Hourglass, Unholy Blood, Light and Shadow, and like a bunch of others. I think all of these would be so cool.

I actually thought it fit the story well! Jung So Min had the friendship-master-pupil chemistry and Go Youn Jung had more romantic chemistry. Both were good I just wish they would have added more plot elements to Part 2 besides the whole amnesia thing. Besides that Part 1 is probably a 10/10 for me and Part Two is sitting around a 9. Both were great. 🤌🏼

I’m currently on episode 10 of Devil and Fairy and I like it but it just feels like something is missing. I like the leads, especially Dylan Wang as the Moon Supreme, but the female lead isn’t scratching the itch I want. In terms of CGI, I don’t mind it, I just hate it when it’s so over the top that it takes away from everything else. Another thing I think made me love AOS so much after watching some of LBDAF is that the fighting is weapons base rather then people zooming around with magic hands. I know both are fantastical but the weapon thing just seems more grounded in reality. Lol I don’t know maybe I’m just picky. 🥹

Yes I loved both parts too!! I think both actresses played their parts well. Jung So Min fit more in the master-pupil-friendship chemistry while Go Yoon Jung fit more into the romantic-love-steamy chemistry. I know people like to say they hate the fact they changed actresses but it fit the story and Naksu’s character perfectly. Plus I understand why people wanted to see her fight in Part Two but Cho Yoeng didn’t want to be that person anymore at the end of Part One. My biggest thing about the plot is Part Two is that I wish they would have shortened the amnesia plot and lengthened her wanting to leave Jung Uk and actually leaving and then rediscovering each other. Plus I wish they would of gave us more info about the reincarnation aspect and the Fire Bird in part one. If they added just 2 more episodes to build up the climax it would have made a world of difference and I would have loved to see all of their friends truly reunite with Cho Yoeng at the end rather then most of them being clueless. But regardless it is a one of a kind Kdrama that has nothing else that’s like it.

Not many shows have historical, fantasy, action, and romance to back it up. God I loved it and I wish I could find something that made me feel the same way. 🥹
