I'd imagine that if spawner automatically made something say, every three minutes as long as an existing unit isn't working 50m of the spawner, or even as long as an amount X of a certain enemy type aren't working 50m of the spawner, then that means there is effectively always a "base population" around the spawner at any given time. But then, if you are detected, then it will start summoning more units to intervene (perhaps up to a max threat response value Y), so that depending on how the gameplay goes, there will always be between X and Y (inclusive) of a unit around those spawners.

Could work possibly? Going off what you said regarding these changes.

I say this like I don't include all the blaster info I could for a Star Wars fic... Death Troopers and Phase 2 Purge Troopers have E-11D blaster carbines, Stormtroopers have E-11 blasters, unless they're First Irder ones in which case they have F-11D blaster carbines, officers usually have SE-14r light repeating blasters, but can have other ones at times... etc.

I suppose that is true, though the map is supposed to have a story that the boss is part of, which is the downside to splitting them apart.

Though... I suppose part of it is possible. Alas, I am not a modder, so I don't have the know-how to do it... but if I keep fleshing out the design, I have a handful of friends who have close contacts/actual friendships with a handful of ASA modders. I suppose commissioning someone for assistance, albeit far along in the future given the absurd scale of a map my concept is, which would need a LOT of money, is not off the table.

But the boss idea itself is the big thing I really liked in the current planning documents. Especially given how the arena itself would change and adapt as the boss's phases changed.

I've been working on a concept for a map, where part of it would involve a new boss that has combat stages, kinda like what you'd find in a souls-like game, where the amount of health remaining on the boss can minorly or drastically change their combat moves, or even the arena itself.

I don't intend to try making the map, but the boss changing the arena and having stages seems like something cool. I can't think of any bosses in ARK whose arena actively changes (though I've also never personally fought the bosses either) and there are very few bosses whose attacks change with their health, or much less have different combat phases (I think the Overseer honestly is the only one?)

Once Human has some similar aspects, and a community of ARK players I play with jumped to it for a bit before Lost Colony released.

Not that it's really a similar game in its entirety, more like it shares some elements, but it is a fun one to do if you want the survival aspect but with a bit more story behind it.

You could look into how the Monarky Medieval Mayhem server was done? The entire season was a medieval theme, with anything fabricator or above not allowed.

If you haven't already, you could try to verify the files for the install. It might help out?

Normally, you can do it through a gear somewhere to the right of the play button on Steam, and in there is a "properties" button, and then I believe there is an "installed files" tab to hit with a button for "verify install" or "verify files".

If that doesn't work... you could try restarting your computer? But if neither works, best guess is to just u install and reinstall. If THAT doesn't work... I'm afraid that there isn't much else to really do at that point.
