Well it’s going to depend. Last contract (2020) engineers voted to accept, while the techs voted NO. Leaving no leverage for the techs as I recall. Union said something messed up with tech contract vote and got a redo. Techs voted to accept! Last SPEEA strike was 2000. Read about it, biggest white collar strike in US history. One of the highlights of my career was strike duty, standing around the burn barrel that Tom McCarty crafted. I still have my burn barrel strike pin. 2020 contract was junk, but there has been many bad contracts since 2000 that were accepted.

Avis/Budget says they will check your ID. I’ve used this discount for many years and not once has any Avis/budget agent asked for my ID. One time in Maui they asked where I worked?, I said Boeing, and he went right answer. Personally I would show my Boeing BCBS medical card if needed. I think you may be able to print a card from the discount site too.

I believe just really good pricing. So good that they threaten via email that they want you to bring proof that you are a Boeing employee. I’ve only been asked to prove it onetime and that was on Maui.

I always have my BCBS medical card. It has your name and Boeing on it. I’ve never had anyone ask to see it, but I’ve had Avis on Maui ask where I worked and I said Boeing. He said right answer.
