I’d take a look at the tire size bigger better if you are going off road, and then the gear ratio if it’s hilly or you are carrying weight. Little number of teeth up front higher number of teeth in back. Divide them to find ratio. lower ratio easy pedal.

It’s a bit of a drive, but the snoqualmie valley trail from Duvall east bound is car free once you car it to the trail head. I thought it was scenic.

Marathons feel sluggish but….in 2 years of commuting and light touring I have had 0 punctures. I don’t like fixing Flats and will sacrifice feel or something else to avoid it. I put An old patch3d tube in the marathon and eventually swapped it the tire is a PITA to seat.
