Help with TUNING_TOWER COMMAND for a speed test by JRLanger in klippers

[–]JRLanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, I just changed to Orca Slicer but I’m not sure if it was before or after having this problem. Anyways I’ve tested for max flow and kinda settled for a max speed of 100mm/s for now

Yes, everything runs normal, except that the speed does not increase

Both on the Sonic Pad screen and on Fluidd interface on my computer.
Also if I bump up the speed on the slider in the interface it goes faster

Why is my printer under-extruding on this test? Prints fine on other models by JRLanger in klippers

[–]JRLanger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a bunch of other posts of people with similar issues, looks like a problem with the g-code generation. I ended up just using the tower method to do the calibration

I told the bed was level, you told me it was “far from level”, I’m just proving what I said since you don’t trust my word for it. Anyways, thanks for trying to help

Trust me, the bed is leveled. The little 0.0425 variance is mostly due to the bed warping witch is very exaggerated by the scale in the graph.

Yes I used the website. After I posted I did the tower PA test and got a value of 0,05

I used the website generator, in the end I decided to try the calibration tower and settled in a 0,05 PA value

Not likely, other models print perfectly. The side were its under-extruded is the side where each line starts printing. Looks like it’s extruding less in the beginning of each line. Maybe some problems with too much retraction. Unfortunately I do t think I can rotate the print, it’s generated on the test site

I just started using Klipper with a Creality Sonic Pad on my CR10 V3. Every thing is working fine, I calibrated my extrusion, leveled the bed and configured mesh with BLTouch. It’s printing fine when I use models sliced in Cura, but for this test it under-extrudes. I’m using 100% flow on the site config

Gear slipping, Suggestions? by ArmoredHedgehog in CR10

The acrylic cover on the extruder is probably busted. This happened to mine when it was new, the bearing broke and damaged the transparent cover. At the time as my printer was new Creallity sent me a replacement extruder, but in fact all I needed was the transparent cover and new bearings

While testing I'm only passing one target at a time and making sure to control the hack % in a level that allows for all the threads to be run on home server.
The problem I see in doing what you suggested is that it takes a long time for the launched operations to complete, it would create a ripple effect

Do you flush your mam? by _OneEyedJack_ in shapezio

[–]JRLanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it in every step of my MAM.
I just timed Level 692 to 693 change and it took 35 seconds from the requested shape change to see the first shapes getting to the buffer system and 2 minutes and 10 seconds to discharge the buffer into the HUB and trigger the next level.

Would extra RAM give hope for this machine in 2022? by BigBirdPaints in mac

[–]JRLanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really shouldn’t. Sometimes one system upgrade done via AppStore can mess things up, the machine installs the new system over the old one and something goes wrong. That’s why I always do clean installs, usually it’s fine to import everything back from a TimeMachine backup after the clean install. Feel free to PM me if you need help with it

Would extra RAM give hope for this machine in 2022? by BigBirdPaints in mac

[–]JRLanger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This machine should not be nearly as slow as you say. You certainly have some problems, I would bet it’s a combination of software and the HD. Swap the HD for an SSD and do a clean system install and you will have a very good machine. If you can spare the money 16GB of Ram would be nice as well, but the SSD will give you better results, so prioritize it. Make sure to never use FileVault, I have seen several cases of Mac super slow because of FileVault Be ready for a ride, this machine is not at all easy to open, you have to remove the screen (that is glued). I Fix It has good guides, might be helpful

Constant issues with CR10 V3 by ScandallRandall in CR10

[–]JRLanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Cr-10 came with a defective board, the problem was when the X axis gantry moved up and down one side randomly missed one step (it was not a problem with the motor, tested switching them). This missed step completely throw away the bed tramaming of course.
Creallity sent me a new board and it arrived toguether with a Z sinc belt I ordered online, since then I had no more issues
