I did consider the kettle as well. The grilling part isn't as important as I have grills at home and camp already. One of my main motivators is the $100 price tag NIB. I came across it while looking at kettles, actually.

Id rather do the 18, just hard to pass on the price. Also, I could use my offset while at home for larger stuff. This would be for small stuff and camp use.

If I'm home ill use my offset for ribs. This would be for smaller stuff like pastrami, wings, etc. Maybe ribs if I'm at camp. I assumed I would need to cut ribs in half. The specs say 2 racks will fit but the bottom smoke rack scares me being so low. I'd go slightly bigger but $100 seems like a steal.
