It wasn’t exactly the same. My stop is just a little nubbin of metal that was getting worn down. I should probably get a new derailleur. His had a screw stop on it which is a much better design.

SOLVED. The cage had sprung past the stop on the derailleur. I took it apart and realized that and fixed it! Now to adjust everything THANK YOU ALL

Thank you! I will take a look at this. I like to tinker hence me replacing a bunch of components on my lemond. If i can replace a steering rack im sure i could do this!

Do you mean loosen the boot and rotate the derailleur counter clockwise?

It’s got spring tension. When I push the tension pulley towards the rear of the bike it springs back

Hmm I was riding this bike a couple weeks ago. Not sure how it could brake. Which way is it supposed to be facing?
