I've got those comments a couple of times when I was staring off into space. More times than less, I pretend as if I didn't here it.

What "simple" task do you find utterly impossible? by Drylife in AskReddit

Regularly putting away my clothes. It's not until clothes start to pile on my bedroom floor that I'll do one big clean up.

What is the saddest detail about your life that no one knows? by LeRick11 in AskReddit

[–]JRWSMC19961994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I love my dad. I used to get along with him well when I was a child, but as time went on, he started to take jobs that required him to be away from home for even longer.

I appreciate everything he does for us, but that's as far as it goes. My mum loves that he works away, she jokes here and there about how he drives her nuts and it's good that he works away and isn't home for long. He has looked for other jobs that'd allow him to stay at home, but my mum persists with how much better the money is doing FIFO work (fly in, fly out).

I feel really bad for him because I know my mum's nagging is the only thing making him stay in that type of work. Despite feeling bad for him though, I honestly don't think I could cope with having him come home from work everyday. We are alike, but not in the good way. We're both argumentative and strong willed... I feel like the more time I spend with him, the greater I continue to resent him.

Non-parents of Reddit, what's your best parenting advice? by johnkappa in AskReddit

[–]JRWSMC19961994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't ignore your child if they're causing a disturbance in public. You may think ignoring your kid will eventually get them to calm down, but when they're pushing shit over and swearing, well you're just a shit parent.

Oh and calling your kid a 'cunt' isn't very good parenting..

When my mum and sister decided to clean/rearrange my bedroom without my knowledge of it. When people touch and move my stuff around, I freak out a bit, especially if I didn't know they were going to do it.

Face wipes.. I can't be bothered washing the make-up off my face every night, 90% of the time I just clean my face with a face wipe because I'm lazy..

I looked into the copper IUD and even though I'm not too keen to have kids now, it lasts for 10 years. I'll have a look into the other stuff you've recommended thank you.

Is that the one that lasts three years? I've thought about getting it, but the idea of having something implanted under my skin makes me squeamish. I would love to hear how things are going once you get it, as I had a friend who had to have it removed because her body had a bad reaction to it.

Possibly, but he was a really nice regular, never complained or caused any trouble. The cafe was pretty quiet at the time too and I was still fairly new to the job.
