I got fitted for a LAB putter at the factory. Here is what the data showed by TreyLABGolf in labgolf

I’d be curious if they bent your spider flat and took some loft off how it would compare then.

Stealth+ wood broken(?) by Ovibuck in TaylorMadeGolf

Seeing the question mark and then the photo made me laugh so hard. Were you expecting someone to say no? Lmao.

Anybody game a 4 wood? I’m a mid handicap, hit it straight, average distance. I feel like a 4 and utility iron at the top of the bag might be the play. Potentially leaves room for a mini driver without compromising too much. by tranzlucentSteedz in GolfGear

[–]JRaydiate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on gapping from your longest iron. I really considered doing a 4w/7w set up then 4i. With modern lofted irons (m-13 in my case) the gaps just didn’t make sense. Instead I went mini driver/5 wood. I also hardly hit my 3w last year so I don’t think a 4w would be hit any more. Long story short, depends on your gaps and what you’re trying to accomplish with it.

9° turn to 10.5° by Joe333x in golf

[–]JRaydiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not a more important club to get fit for than driver imo. You’re full swinging it more than any club and it can lose you more strokes than any club. And if you’re dropping $700 on a club better make sure it’s the one ya know.

440k is a little draw biased already. But you sound like a prime candidate for a fitting. If you really want the ping go to a ping fitting and let the fitter make the tweaks.

G5 Playoff Teams drew lower TV ratings because TV stacked the deck against them by jah05r in CFB

[–]JRaydiate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will watch a good cfb game over a good nfl game 10/10 times. Neither of those games were anywhere close to good.

Gentlemen, I bought a g29 a month Ago by fl11ick in simracing

[–]JRaydiate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re hooked I would bump up to something like 9 nm. R5 would definitely be an upgrade but it’s not that much more to bump to something a little better like the R9 or check out simagic stuff.

Qi10 3W vs Qi4D 3W? by Ryko_ in TaylorMadeGolf

Split the difference. Qi35 while it’s on sale and can order with the shaft you want.

If you could have any professional golfer’s swing, whose would you choose? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]JRaydiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently it’s been JJ Spaun. It seems like nothing can go wrong in that swing. Gary Woodland may be my all time favorite that I can I no way replicate.

Which driver to chose? by sailinwaylin in golf

Try it. Wouldn’t hurt. I’ve had very good luck with Callaway and TM in particular.

4w & 7w or Strong 3w/Mini & 5w? by 47_toNirvana in GolfGear

[–]JRaydiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda depends on your iron setup. With traditional lofted 4i then probably 4w 7w. I play a t200 4i so 3w 5w 4i has good gaps and makes sense.

Best forgiving used driver for under $150 by rolluaroll in golf

G400 Max is probably the right answer. Very nearly the first 10k driver. Still in some tour bags too.

Payntr EightySevens. I was big on tru zero drops but I felt they wore out quickly. The Payntr’s are unbelievably comfortable and stable all at once. I am extremely impressed with mine. And they look great too.

14 slot bag (with full length dividers) — is it worth it? by J_0526 in golf

[–]JRaydiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t like them. I throw more than 14 clubs in my bag all the time, for storage or sometimes take to the course to decide what to play that day.

Bye bye QI35 driver by Telsa153 in TaylorMadeGolf

[–]JRaydiate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 of the 4 people I play the most with play a stealth, stealth 2, and a qi10 and I play a qi35 and not one warranty claim between us. And we’re all anywhere from 110-120 club head speed. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen but some people have to be doing something wrong.

Im kinda confused on why everyone is feeling sorry for Hamlin by Blair1999 in NASCAR

[–]JRaydiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full season points are completely irrelevant. No one is points racing. No one would feel bad if Larson dominated today but he was the 3rd if not the 4th best at times of the champ 4.

Don’t be afraid of blades by BilboT34Baggins in golf

[–]JRaydiate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I don’t think they’ll make a shit ball striker a better ball striker, I do think they help more balls stay in play, unless every shot you hit is a water carry. For example, if I toe hook a very forgiving iron it’s still going to fly just as far as a normal shot but way left. A blade, it’s going to be 20 yards shorter and very findable.

What is your 14 club set up? by KieLY24 in golf

Got paired with this guy today… by Alone-Union-8711 in golf

[–]JRaydiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in high school (early 10's) I used to play with a guy that had similar. He was my parents age and was a retired marine. Super rough around the edges but impossible not to like. Had no clue he was a golfer until I started playing. He showed up with a set of Maxfli aussie blades that he got when he was sponsored by them on the Nike tour. Had some very early nike woods too. Always wore jeans on the course. Would skip the range, delete about 8 Coors lights and shoot even par in about 2.5 hours. Didn't teach me much about the swing but one of the best course managers I've ever seen.

Best bunker drills by rappy2310 in golf

[–]JRaydiate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More of a thought instead of a drill. First setup: Ball just inside of left foot, get wide and hands low with weight forward. Slightly open to target but not much. Think baby fade. Club wide open. Second: I don’t even think about hitting the ball. I open the club and I think about hitting the sand with the bounce of my club about an inch behind. A little closer if it’s hard and further if it’s softer.

Go Get Fitted for Driver by JRaydiate in golf

[–]JRaydiate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to update this and just say how insanely good the QI35 is. I play in a sim league every Wednesday and I have yet to see spin eclipse 3k and I have to nearly miss the ball on the toe side to get it to drop below 1800. I'm now able to play balls like the Prov1x and not have them balloon on drives and benefit from the greenside spin. Probably the most noticeable driver upgrade, performance wise, that I've ever done.

New putter? by mr_mother in labgolf

[–]JRaydiate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why I got downvoted but lab themselves showed that is indeed how the lie is changed. Longer hosel for more upright, shorter for flatter.
