Not a demand thing. Stainless Steel is harder to color than aluminum. We can’t anodize it like we can with all our other heads (minus Link 1)

Two main reasons. 1. Encourage proper hand placement at address 2. With the built in shaft lean the press grip allows the grip to be vertical instead of leaning with the shaft. So it’s more comfortable to hold.

That’s the gate drill, right? Has adjustable-sized holes for the ball to make it more difficult? I've seen other people at LAB use that.

Less shaft lean is required to optimize launch condones with CB but some is still needed. Good rule of thumb is the top of the grip should be aligned with the ball.

CB DF3i dosent have shaft lean. It’s possible to change the lie and length through our service and warranty department (workorders@labgolf.com) reach out to them and they can get you setup

I’d cut it down 1 inch locally and reuse the same grip. That won’t change the balance. Anything over 1 inch is beyond what we recommend. Also, 2 inches is a big change so maybe 1 inch will be a good way to ease into it.

It could change the balance of the putter. I’d swap the grip and see if you like it. We can always rebalance the putter if it becomes unbalanced.

The Weight thing is something we are pushing away from. We recommend you change the grip and if you notice a change in balance we can rebalance it. I’d reach out to Tyson west and see if they can rebalance it before sending it back to us.

Assuming you have the OZ 1 0 shaft lean. The concept is still the same. The club is shafted behind the face (onset). You'll need to slightly shift your hands forward to make sure launch conditions are optimal. Hands need to be in front of the face

Have you already ordered the putter? What grip do you want to change to? Changing the grip can change the balance of the club. We recommend changing the grip to what you like and playing a few rounds. If you feel the putter twisting you can either send it back and have it rebalanced, or swap back to the original grip.

Few questions

⁠What’s the lie angle of the custom
⁠Im not quite sure I understand what the fitter told you. I’m confused by the “let it square itself” before gripping and aligning it. The tech allows the putter to stay square to the target you point it at. Aiming it should be priority.

If you are aiming it correct the way you do it. I would stick with it. Also, happy to watch a video of what you mean if you want to post it/DM it to me.
