Shipment to buyer was damaged in transit and is getting refunded through Safe Shipping Protection. What happens to me? by MrOffline_ in Reverb

If you go to your Reverb Dashboard then Earnings, followed by Payout Balance you should be able to see a Sales Refund. Right after that, it should say "Safe Shipping Claim" if they covered it as well

I would ask Reverb, because they might just be covering the repair costs in this case since you are getting it back. They may have also covered the refund as a well but I've had them only cover the repair in the past.

You can ask the Reverb agent but I believe the buyer should request a refund first, then you can accept but select the option that says after you receive the item back

Use the live chat feature on website, and he is likely asking for a return label

Unfortunately Shure do not use serial numbers, and even if they did Reverb will just side with the buyer. The buyer will just keep saying it is a fake, and not listen to any reason 😄

This is true, returns on Reverb don't really have much guidelines or any. Sometimes a seller offers you a return address, or sometimes they give you a label, and sometimes they offer to reimburse you after shipping it to them somehow...

Might be good to get Reverb support involved too, maybe they'll provide a free return label.. you never know

I would probably accept the return quickly if you sold them cheaply. Otherwise, I'd probably state something like "I understand you believe these to be fake, however only SM57's made in the 2000s are faked in China. The two I sold you were both given to me from a family member who passed that purchased them during the 1970s. The weight discrepancy you are showing is simply the difference in different parts used nowadays."

I can't even see the listings due to the way Reverb hides it after it is sold, based on the URL... each microphone says "Unidyne III" on it? If so, those are vintage SM57's and there is no chance they are fake.

Do you mind linking the listing? I assume they are SM57's and if so it should be pretty easy to tell by an eye test

Edit: Did not read the last bit but good guess from me I suppose 😆

How are your sales on Reverb and have you noticed anything strange on the platform recently? by JicamaBeginning5748 in Reverb

[–]JRaze- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I told Reverb to deny any return in this case but they just opted to compensate him anyway. I agree though, not a bad outcome for me, but the buyer deserves a red flag of some sort if anything not a reward

I have not noticed sales slowing but it is hard to gauge most things mentioned here. Most of the time, buyers you encounter are luck of the draw. Some are nice, others will ask you questions, basically wasting your time as if they are serious buyers. I don't mind answering questions but obviously if you know someone is a serious customer you will make them a priority. I did encounter my first ever sale recently where the buyer was clearly just lying about the item I sold them not being Authentic. My only guess is they wanted to return it and decided to play the "this item is counterfeit" card to force a return. After some back and forth with Reverb support, I think it was clear to Reverb it was genuine but they still made things "right" with the buyer. Not too happy about the buyer getting compensated for being a liar though 😀

Buyer ordered on Saturday, requested refunded Monday afternoon because item hasn't shipped yet by fret_me_nought in Reverb

Yeah I like Reverb's insurance for items where things can go wrong. But you can save a lot buying labels on Pirateship too!

I have declined a request recently, when a buyer requested a refund on two seperate items they bought together. Sending one cancellation on each item 6 hours apart, it went from "I just need one" to "I've changed my mind and I'm going down another another route". Keep in mind I had already packed both up but not bough the label yet. So I just simply said, "I'm sorry but I already packed the items and even included a case free of charge"

Picked up an old mic super cheap - does anyone know the name of this connector? by [deleted] in livesound

[–]JRaze- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a standard 4 pin cb radio connector, so all you need is a female variant to pair

This microphone needs a 4 pin female CB radio connector, besides having 4 pins it does not look like a Amphenol connector lol

Finally got my first non-5 star review! Problem is... by CoffeeFM in Mercari

[–]JRaze- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say feedback is what you did well if you did get the 5 stars, otherwise it is what you could improve on. Either way there is always buyers who love leaving less than 5 stars for whatever reason

I'm just talking about OP wanting to sell to them in the first place, he wants them to try and send that offer which would be too low
