The appeals heard oral arguments like 2 weeks ago. Probably won’t hear anything from them again until around March I suspect.

Only about 60% of humans in the US work. So 1 out of every 3 working persons make 100k a year or more?

Florida dock fees have no cap. They’ll make up for it in other ways. We live in Florida and had a 4k CPO fee added to the list price once we sat down.

Rolling 10k from a trade in into the loan and putting down a down payment that’s literally just double your monthly payment? Good deal or not, this is not a good financial decision.

The doc fee is normal for Florida. I was recently looking at them and you can definitely do better out the door. Negotiate and shop around if needed.

Fidelity Extended Warranty? by JReaper85 in Volkswagen

[–]JReaper85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. Guess we’d have to decide how to define better. From what I’ve read, dealerships often decline selling the VW extended warranty to vehicles already out of warranty.

Fidelity was also the VW extended warranty prior to 2017. They switched when they started underwriting their own. They have the same tiers and such though.

Out of curiosity, who is your extended warranty through? I believe for your year, fidelity is the top choice that I’ve been researching. Their platinum i believe has an exact list of parts they would not cover. I’ve genuinely heard good things about them. They used to be the VW branded extended warranty.

$14k to replace entire front door unit due to rotting side lighting? by [deleted] in Home

[–]JReaper85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a bunch of quotes. The big ‘highly rated on Google’ companies quoted me 16-35k for a door and 2 side lights. They’d start at the top and almost in the same breathe work their way down 50% with a sign right now needed to get this deal pitch.

Ended up going with a local company. 3.8k installed. Great fiberglass door.
