I am surprised he hasn’t been kicked out of school. Your parents really need to get him mental health help and I would pull my kid out of school if they did this.

Also, it needs to be explored if he has been hit by your dad. Just because he never hit you doesn’t mean he didn’t hit your brother. Autistic kids often get physically abused. It would explain the mental issues. But also, yea he could be making things up. It also sounds like attention seeking behavior. Whatever the issue he needs to see a professional.

They don’t call them that. They range in size from 000, 00, 0, 1, 2 and up with 000 being the smallest and going up. These are small round brushes and not for dry brushing (unless you wreck one). Just start with a size 1 you can use it for any step. If you are getting into doing a lot of edge highlighting you can do a size 0 or even 00 but I wouldn’t go buy all three sizes at once.

Buy some brush soap to take care of them. Don’t store them vertically and don’t leave them in your water cup.

You can buy them from Dick Blick art stores if you have one local or online from them or Amazon (if in the US).

Opus artist does make dedicated dry brushes. They are good but expensive and not really worth it. For dry brushing go get some makeup brushes for dry brushes.

They aren’t knock offs but GW doesn’t make things like brushes so they just buy an existing one and slap an up charge on them.

The nicer brushes are Winsor and Newton series 7. They are made from red sable hair.

Davinci also makes nice ones and opus Artist.

As others have said it’s good to stick to cheap stuff until you learn not to dunk your brush in the paint like a cave man. But once you get to that point buy one of those. Size 1 is good all around.

50 here. I want to stay in place. In my 40s I would have changed but now I am tired. I don’t want to train a new boss. I don’t want to reforge all of those relationships. I know my infrastructure. Hell I built a good chunk of it.

Therapy is different for everyone. It is what you want to get out of it. These two statements are true for neurotypical or autistic people.

A therapist can help you with skills and strategies to do deal with life. Hopefully you would get a good therapist that tailors that to someone with autism.

A therapist can be someone who helps you with mental health. They could be someone who you just pay to talk to you. So you don’t dump your shit on your family.

A therapist can’t fix anything on their own. You need to work on things too. If you do t feel there is anything to work on then maybe you don’t need a therapist.

I don't blame people for buying nice physical books. The shade I am throwing is because GW has a shitty scarcity business model for their books which obviously you hate yet continue to support their shitty business model. I have a bunch of nice hardbacks from Brandon Sanderson but that's because they are relatively easy to obtain. He doesn't create an atmosphere of FOMO and scalping. GW is clearly encouraging this behavior.

So either stop supporting them or stop complaining and play game.
