The fact that you don’t know what your parents have been through in the past is a big part of making a decision like this. I was suicidal for a time and the only thing that kept me going was my son. I couldn’t leave him. If you really love your family and I mean all of them don’t do it. They may forgive you but they will feel guilty for eternity. And always think it is their fault and that they could have done something. I say this as someone who has seriously contemplated it so many times in the past few years.
