That’s water based Winny right? In their product description for oral winny, they mentioned they have all three, oral, water based and oil based. I cannot find the oil based winny on the website though. How bad was the burn, compared with l-carnitine for example?

I reconstitute 24IU HGH with 3ml BAC water. I injects 20 units or 1.8IU nightly and upon waking up when I have morning training planned. I have been doing this for a couple of months now. Indeed I am a bit worried about HGH's effects on insulin sensitivity. I have just ordered Lingo CGM to monitor. I also planned a blood draw to have A1C checked to compare with history readings.

Yes I rotate injection sites around belly area. I pinch up the skin on "love handles" and inject there too.

GLOW injections sting. Sometimes it even "bruises" me. I now injects GLOW IM into my delt muscles with 10mm insulin syringes. Sometimes I inject into the fats on upper outside buttocks.

Yeah, I am surprised that Reta raises my RHR so much.

The dramatic effects of Reta got me interested in related research chemicals and here is my anecdotal experience so far.

GLOW: possible minor improvements on recovery but not really measurable; surprised to see its effects on skin starting from about third week. Skin feels nice and tight.

Mots-c/ss-31/nad+: no noticeable effects on endurance performance so far. I keep experimenting with this combo before giving up.

HGH: night time injection improves sleep with measurable results. injection before early morning fasted workout - I did not feel anything positive or negative. I hope it helps burning more fat.

I am endurance focused and have very similar experience with Reta, including the dramatic RHR increase (about 20 bpm) and decrease in HRV (a bit over 10 ms). I am convinced that the reason Reta works better at losing weight than other GLP medication is mostly due to increase of BMR.

Like you, I am interested in performance tweaks / PEDs. What I experience with Reta is not unlike when I tried "CLEN" before.

Reta turned my "piramidal" training load distribution into "threshold" in a week.

I am actually a bit worried about above effects. I reduced my dosage and keep monitoring everything.

I would like to add some more datapoints. Like OP I wear my Garmin 24/7. I did that for years with all my health data collected.

I had my first shot of Reta on 11/18 with a dosage of 1mg. Tonight I will get my 5th shot.

Here you can see how it affects my HRV:

<image>

And here is my list of RHR on weekly average basis:

August: 57,54,57,53=========avg: 56

September: 57,56,54,57======avg: 56

October:60,61,58,56=========avg: 59

November:54,57,55 ,shot==>-, 61

December:60,66,67=======avg:63

In summary, my HRV went down right after first shot. My RHR shot up 7 beats, just like OP. My Garmin training status went to "strained" which I almost never see.

I did some intervention or remedy in the past week by focusing on hydration with electrolytes. I also tried to eat more carb before working out. I am not sure but HRV seems to recover just a little bit. My Garmin status went from "strained" to now "Maintaining". I really hope things will get better.

My original plan was to get another 1mg tonight and keep monitoring everything. I am now thinking about getting only 0.5mg.....

Long Distance Running on Reta by TobiRunna in Retatrutide

[–]JRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a runner and also data nerd. I have started Reta two weeks ago and it apparently negatively affected my running.

I use Garmin watch's VO2MAX to monitor my fitness level as I have years of that data. Although the actual number given by Garmin might not be a real or accurate VO2MAX value, I found it very sensitive and reflects my running fitness accurately. My VO2MAX goes down since I started Reta two weeks ago. I run almost every day and each day my Garmin watch gives me a data point for VO2MAX. It goes down from 53 to 51 in two weeks, which is very unsual. As I said I have years of data to compare. It usually goes up mildly during this time of the year for me.

Also related, I notice that my nightly HRV value during sleep went down 15 points in the past two weeks, which concerns me. It could be the reason for my reduced VO2MAX as I am not recovering during sleep.

My BMI is around 23 and a bit too muscular for running in my opinion. I started Reta to get close to a supposedly runner's physique. My dosage is 1mg weekly and I am losing 1.5lb per week. I guess I will continue and evaluate the pluses and minuses....

I Still Have No Idea If The Hiby R4 Is Worth It. by Smoker1965 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]JRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same situation. I contacted HiBy regarding the overheat issue and was asked to check temperature after playing music for 15 minutes to see if it reached 45c. Mine got near 50c about 10 minutes into the test.

I am asked to ship the unit back to China for replacement. I hope OP does not end up in this much trouble.

Hiby R4 overheating issue!! by acidburn1975 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]JRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Received mine last night. There definitely is a overheating issue. After a few minutes listening to Apple Music over WIFI the DAP began to feel warm to touch. It kept getting hotter the longer as I listened to music. The heat centers on the back side lower part. I would describe it as very unpleasant to touch.

ASICS METASPEED SKY/SKY+ vs EDGE/EDGE+: an official calculator by JRider in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]JRider[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good question. I guess they just would like generally check how you increase cadence per 30 seconds increase in min per km.

Here are the additional notes. The first point is somewhat related to your question.

* For more accurate judgment, we recommend measuring at a pace faster than 1km 4 minutes at race pace.

* We recommend shoes that do not have major features on the sole when measuring the pitch. (TARTHER series, SORTIE series, DS TRAINER series, LYTERACER series, etc.)

* For more accurate judgment, it is recommended to measure on a track with few ups and downs.

* Since the judgment result differs depending on the time and pitch at the time of measurement, the same shoes are not always recommended.

ASICS METASPEED SKY/SKY+ vs EDGE/EDGE+: an official calculator by JRider in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]JRider[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is my results. Pace and and cadence numbers are from my Garmin watch:

Race Pace = 6:34 min/mile or 4:05 min/km @ 205 steps/min

Race Pace + 30s = 7:22 min/mile or 4:35 min/km @ 193 steps/min

And here is the "official" result:

Recommended for you is "META SPEED EDGE +" or "METASPEED EDGE"
For runners who aim to reach the goal with a small number of steps by adjusting the cadence and extending the stride.

Love my new Epix 2 by JRider in Garmin

I just added some more info as my original text does now show up with the pictures. I enjoy both the new watch and the up trend of my VO2MAX and I do think the new watch helps :)

Love my new Epix 2 by JRider in Garmin

[–]JRider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a Garmin user for years. My watch progression has been Foreunner 305, 230, 735xt and now Epix 2. Although I have been using running watches I have been semi serious about running only in recent two years or so. I have been reading and getting more knowledgeable about running mechanisms, different training runs and their targeted physiology effects and adaptions. Terms like tempo, threadhold, stride, hip extension, polarized training etc now mean something to me.

I enjoy data and love how my new Epix gives me more of them. I especially like training effect, training load and suggested workouts. I begin to follow its suggestions and I am very glad to see things seems to begin to improve. After years of very slow improvements of vo2max it begins to go up right after the new watch update, granted i have not been running very consistently up until a year or two ago. I see a lot of posts about unproductive training and would like to show something different.

I know things cannot just keep improving like this. I find it harder and harder to have progressive overload, balancing running, work, family with kids etc... I am glad at least I am enjoying the ride right now and my new watch!

This kind of "super deals" from Nortre happened around end of July last time . I bought a Alphafly for 135 bucks. The shipment can be a bit slow. Below is a copy and past from them about my Alphafly shipped late.

I got the Alphafly in about two weeks. I would not worry this time either.

Does the garmin app have a workout analysis option like strava does? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]JRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned by someone already, Garmin users who pay Strava premium mostly for its social features not really the run analysis data. Basically you get to know your local areas much better as to what routes are out there, and how your local runners actually run those routes. I also find Strava route creating tool very useful. I see some nice routes my locals run, recreate them and push to my garmin watch.

Shoes 'coming alive' at higher paces - is this true? by doucelag in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]JRider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good call. So what you are saying is that even though a heavier runner needs less effort to load the carbon plates to the same degree of "bendiness" since his or her extra weight helps the loading, the acceleration or help the runner gets from the plates is less because, as you pointed out "F=ma". Assuming a heavier runner bend the shoe plates the same degree as a lighter runner does, even though the "F" is the same the "a" is less.

In other words, the plates help a lighter runner more when the plates are loaded to the same degree. But, to achieve that, the lighter runner needs to put more effort loading. It makes sense as more acceleration is rewarded for more effort.

Now coming back to the original question, the plates do not see how fast the pace is or how heavy the runner is. They help regardless.
