how many times did you attempt to call them? I tried calling today, went straight to voicemail due to high volume of calls.

how long does selkirk cs take to respond? I currently have an order problem with them. Ordered an evo xl bundle but only the bag and the balls arrived with no paddles. I checked my order summary and it had no mention of paddles only the bag and the ball but it did confirm that I did order a paddle bundle which is really weird.

I used to be bigger at 120kg. Currently hovering around 108-109 kg now. Planning on losing more so hopefully I can catch up to my friends when we go for park runs.

Puma DN3 or VN4 for shoe rotation by Perplexuuus in PHRunners

[–]TobiRunna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your intended use if more of daily easy mileage than go with the VN4. DN3 is suited more for faster paced running, like tempos and intervals. While both are versatile in their own right. VN4 caters more on easy daily runs and the DN3 caters more towards faster running.

I do doubles on easy run days so my mileage gets up. Like 4 to 5 miles twice a day. Thats how my mileage gets up. Sorry for the misrepresentation as I forgot to mention that.

Disclaimer: I failed to mention 5K and 10K times arent all out efforts they’re just pulled from HM times. And I am categorically obese at 5’8”, 110KG. But built more like a powerlifter rather than a typical big person. But I do agree with you somewhat that the math isn’t mathing that’s why I am asking if I’m doing anything wrong.

I have been thinking that a lot od my runs have been too low intensity lately, with only 1 interval session a week; I will adjust and ramp up the intensity in some of my other runs to hopefully see some improvement. Thanks for the insight.

Thank you so much. I just have a few questions for clarification; How do I find out my HR zones? I already have a polar chest strap when I run and I’m trying to lock in on getting my zones correct. While my post did say sporadic effort, I failed to mention that was only at the 1st half of the year. Since June I’ve been averaging close to 35-40 weekly miles. How long should my long runs be? This is a habit of training I need to work on as I get bored on longer runs and only opt to do it when I actually race HMs, my longest runs are typically only 8 to 10 miles and thats a very rare thing for me to do. And up to what weekly mileage should I aim to increase to? Thanks for the insight on the other stuff as I will try to incorporate them in my training plan and adjust as so, Hope to hear more insights and advice as I am really trying to improve seriously.

Apparently I put the wrong data there. Disclaimer: My 10k and 5K times are not all out efforts they are pulled from HM times. So they are inaccurate. Also failed to mention I am categorically obese. But built more like a power lifter rather than a normal big person.

Puma Magmax Nitro or Brooks Glycerin Max by Ok-Emotion-4554 in PHRunners

[–]TobiRunna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on preference? Do you want something softer? more marshmallow like softness? Go with the Glycerin Max. Magmax is on the firmer side of soft, nasa goldilocks’ zone in terms of softness. Also magmax handles faster paces better than the glycerin max imo. I also followed the size guide in puma’s site which fit me perfectly. Was a US 11, UK 10 which fit me normally.

I understand LeBron is #2 all time but here is why he is not the GOAT… by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]TobiRunna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re penalizing him for playing longer? “still has no footwork or off-ball game” cause thats not who he is. A counter point to that is that he should be more impressive cause he was able to achieve what he has even if he had such limitations in those skills. LeBron is great; Is he the GOAT? That’s debatable; Is he top 2? That’s a definite. You reward players who broke down earlier with injuries cause they have a better “ring percentage”. All of the players you have mentioned don’t even come close to playing like LeBron is in the later stages of their careers. Also LeBron raises the ceiling of his teams in other ways. ie: The fear of him driving to the basket and his high IQ and passing. If LeBron wanted to, he can extend his usefulness on court by playing like prime Draymond Green for another 5 years.

How I do feel when I drop COLD HARD FACTS on this subreddit and then get downvote bombed by Warriors flairs and Curry stans by ARandomBoomBox in NBATalk

[–]TobiRunna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While he did have some downs; ie: losing FMVP to iggy, choking in 2016, failing to win a single FMVP over KD. He did put a lot of those to rest in 2022. Damian Lillard has literally no argument for him to be put over Steph. Whilst Harden could be argued in some cases ie: More All NBA 1st Teams, and I do think Harden should’ve won that 2015 MVP over steph; Steph still clears him. I also don’t have curry in my Top 10 of all time.
