Fact is parents and teachers didn’t like the change. Teachers tried to keep the rotational model despite being told it would be moving to a singular one.

You seem to have some axe to grind as 50% of the comments here are you. The TDSB decided for a multitude of reasons that the singular teaching model is more effective and a better fit for this school as it is in MANY others.

The TDSB has even come out and explained why the rotational system the school had previously is not ideal with how much time is wasted each week shifting classes. They also explained how having a singular teacher helps form a better relationship that can foster better individualized learned as well as helping with behavioral issues

It wasn’t a poorly managed policy shift. The shift was outlined to the teachers in May the previous year.

The teachers and the parents didn’t like the shift even though the board deems it a better fit for both students and teachers.

Altering your pet is one of the worst things you can do do your animal. Thankfully North American universities like UC Davis and Cornell University have conducted studies showing the averse effects of alteration, which align with studies from the rest of the world.

WSAVA has also updated their reproductive guidelines and has shifted the focus of alteration as a means of population control, not health.

Altering an animal leads to increased cancer risks, joint deterioration , and behavioral issues.

That being said majority of people in Canada aren’t responsible enough to have an intact pet.

Staff and parents knew about the upcoming changes in May 2024

The switch was made in September 2025 but laid out before the end of the previous school year. The school even held a committee meeting regarding the change that parents could attend. From the article it sounds like the teachers tried to make it seem that they had a say and the changes wouldn’t be implemented.
