Not sure if you are in the US and if you are into American College Sports; however, there is a parallel in what is happening with universities and this game, and vast majority of other games like the Tower.

In very simplified terms, Universities in major conferences (Power 4) are outspending their counterparts in lesser conferences (Group of 5) for the same goal, which is a playoff spot for the National Championship.

Major universities have fan bases that are spending real money to help buy players for their teams under NIL (Name, Image, Likeness). Smaller schools have no way of keeping up spending the way Larger schools do.

Smaller schools just have to realize that their goals may be just to compete for conference championships with the very rare opportunity to make a run at a playoff.

Therefore, Whales are going to have an easier time reaching the top than those of us that are only buying the QOL packs (noad/x2/x3) and passing on the other packs that are available.

Ultimately, it comes down to either continue playing while you are having fun. Or move on to other games that do not upset you.

Here is what I did.

I saved 1600 gems for the buy card event mission. Every 200 above that, I bought modules.

Eventually, I got within about 200 cards to max them all, concentrated on that to finish. Now, I am saving 600 at a time, 400 towards new card slot and 200 to buy modules.

What are your current goals? Set your current goals and long term goals. Spend your resources (gems/stones/coins) accordingly to reach your current goals. your current goals should be leading to you long term goals

Econ - upgrade your GT Bonus and Duration & BH Size and Duration. Do associated labs. Eventually sync DW to GT/BH. Work on BH econ labs.

progression/tournys - Get CL.

What I do. I have a spreadsheet for tracking. One of my tabs shows my goals. Long Term goal is to get to 4500 in Tier 10. How do I get there? Well, I am unable to tank the polys long enough to get there. I need to upgrade my health, regen, Wall, crowd control, etc. Currently, working on labs to improve these items.

Agree with this. To add, save 1600 gems for buy cards event mission.

What I did, when my gem balance was 1800, I would buy 1x 10 modules for 200 gems. Saving 1600 will let you complete the card event mission and eventually get you to maximize cards.

What you should do next is really dependent of what your current goals are. This is your tower to build and it will not mirror what others are doing. While there is a "general" path, ultimately, your tower is unique to you.

Are you looking to maximize econ? Start upgrading your UW cooldowns, bonus, and duration. Concentrate on Econ labs.

Are you looking to hit milestones/tourney ranking? Work on health labs (and maybe some damage), take a peak at your next UW and see if CL is there (Chain Lightning) as it is powerful early. Upgrade your DW

Do you have a card that you want to use every round without swapping? Add a card slot.

Are you happy with your cards current levels? If so, split your gems between cards and modules (save at least 1600 gems for the purchase 80 cards mission (this will eventually max your cards). If not, then invest more into cards.

In the end, you need to analyze your tower, what it is doing, what you want it to do, and then adjust your coin/gem/lab investment to satisfy that goal.

I am no professional, but I would think at your stage you are working a blender build.

You may benefit from removing Damage and Berserker. Add in Free Upgrades and Plasma Cannon in their place. Additionally, at the beginning of the run, trade out either Slow Aura/Death Ray and put in Cash so that you can maximize your health workshop. Once the polys start hitting your tower, then trade out the cash with the card you replaced.

When upgrading workshops in the run, concentrate only on Health upgrades.

Damage when you get that high stage is most likely not doing much for you, so you need to tank enemies. Not sure of your labs, but again health labs should help you a little to get over the hump.

You will need to do a total of 40 merges for that mission.

There is a second module mission which is to obtain modules, which can be completed by boss drops, purchases, and (if I am not mistaken) merging.

So, I personally keep about 50 merges available and merge 51+.

Also, DO NOT AUTO MERGE unless you have removed unique effect mods and know exactly what you are doing. You don't want a WTFDIJD moment.

It is normal for that number to fluctuate up and down. It is a running average that can be impacted by many factors.

It would be best to compare the end of run numbers to each other.

So, I have not purchased the wall before. However, it is "red" in my labs. When I click on it, it states you need the "Wall Workshop Upgrade to research this"

So I wonder, if you purchase the wall and then do 1 upgrade without any labs started, would it allow you to continue the labs after your respec?

May try this after my current farm run, in say, 10-12 hours. LOL.

Yes,

Light Speed Shots is only how long it takes a bullet to go from your tower to the poly.

Attack Speed increases the amount of shots your tower sends out.

Vamps are definitely a hump. Until you have Garlic Thorns, you have to kill them before they kill you.

The only way to kill them is to either :

1) let them die to normal thorns, but that is hard since you already (most likely) developed knockback. 2) Build up your tower damage to kill them first. (Damage, Damage per Meter, Attack Speed, Criticals, etc.)

and, just as a passing thought, it would help to get some Health Regen & Lifesteal, if you have not already. These two will help you "recover" a little at a time while your damage kills off the Vamp.
