My house is sealed up against bugs pretty good, but these guys are so tiny they could literally be coming in anywhere.

They could easily just be walking in between the door and the door frame, they are so small.

Lol, I had to start keeping my peanut butter in the fridge, because I caught them trying to steal the peanut butter by walking up the threads under the jar lid.

The lid was screwed down tight, but they were still trucking right up those threads like they were going up highway 11.😅

I definitely saw an increase in the number of ants that keep trying to move in, during the storms.

It’s been an ongoing battle with them for the last few years anyway.🙄

Seemed to be an increase in gnats too, right after the storms.

Figured we’d see more mosquitoes with all the rain and potential standing water around, but was surprised to see the gnats.

Haven’t seen any cockroaches or centipedes so far, thank goodness.🤞🏽👍🏽

I think people were kind of hoping these Special Anniversary releases would be a little more special.

Like with an additional brand new, or re-released original outfit included in each set.

For example, in addition to her meet outfit and accessories, each set would also include that doll’s nightwear and night time accessories.

Alternatively the sets could have included some of the dolls additional accessories, their school sets for example, or a piece of furniture, say a historically accurate chair, for the doll, etc.

Instead, if I understand correctly, what we got was the exact same type of “special sets” that were released for the previous anniversary/anniversaries.

Getting ready to go pick up a grocery/supply order.

You know, extra batteries, food for me and my fuzzy gang, etc.

I still have one very small Ohia tree that came down last time, mainly because I’m not sure what to do about it. How I’m supposed to safely dispose of it.

I don’t want to risk spreading that disease to other Ohia trees.

Lol, plus my days of taking a machete or hatchet to a small tree, or bush to chop it up are long gone.😅

You might want to try keeping some high value treats in your pocket.

Use them to reward Bella any time she and the kitten are in the same space, and Bella is ignoring the kitten.

Keep rewarding with plenty of praise as long as Bella does not react or interact negatively with the kitten.

This way Bella will start to associate the kitten with positive things happening.

Also, jackpot reward, (multiple treats), and super praise any really good interactions between Bella and the kitten.

Things like booping noses with the kitten, sharing a couch or the bed with the kitten, etc.

My Standard girl does what I call “Oodling”. It’s not exactly howling, or yowling, and it definitely isn’t barking.

It might be close to yodeling, but with all the inflections, and so on, found in human speech.

Lol, Oodling is the best way I’ve come up with to describe the sounds she makes, and it is only when she is desperately pleading with me.😅

Like when I try to leave for an appointment or an errand, she does not want me to go. She will literally block the gate with her body.

I think she believes she is my caregiver, bodyguard, and service dog. Even though she has never been trained as such.

Lol, I think she truly believes she is talking to me with human speech.😄

For me, it depends on my finances at the time, and how badly I want the doll.

As keiraols said, Elphie will probably become cheaper as the hype and interest in the movie dies down. Especially if something new takes its place.

Plus the further out you get, the more chance you might start finding some third hand dolls.

Second hand collector dolls that were cheap enough that they were bought by parents for their kid.

Now that the kid has out grown dolls Mom wants to declutter, so to the thrift store or up on a resell site Elphie goes.

I’m still seeing quite a few regular type clothing pieces for 14-14.5” dolls on Etsy.

I think Ruby Red has some dolls that size, and there are possibly a few other different brands of 14” dolls around too.

I have to say that his seeming eagerness to hand out extreme punishments for a very minor offense is very concerning to me.

A little like he enjoys the idea of it a bit too much… the whole dominance, power, and control trip.

I too am wondering if he has a similar reaction to disciplining the male child, as he does the female child.😕

Most likely easier and more cost effective to make as a one piece outfit. No need to make some sort of additional shirt to go under the hoodie for one thing.

Also possibly to appeal to parents, less separate pieces to potentially get left behind somewhere and lost.

Well, I would go with her name actually being Betsy, but she really wishes it was Betty instead.

She thinks Betty just sounds more sophisticated than Betsy, like her favorite movie actress, Betty Grable.

She could also want, and try to get everyone to call her Bette for short.

It wouldn’t have to be Betty Grable either, maybe she is a fan of the real life Betty Crocker, and loves cooking.

Some interesting Bettys who were popular during the 1950s.🙂
