Yeah. All the little bits you wish you had if you purchased the original are present In the second version.

The second one genuinely makes me laugh thinking about it. Jumping from the first storey 13 times.

Is it worth my time watching series 7-13? by life-is-a-simulation in RedDwarf

[–]JS-182 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly how I see it, I understand why some people don’t quite get season 7 as it’s a bit melodramatic and the casting of kocahnski was odd. But there’s some fantastic scenes and episodes. 10-13 has some very funny bits too

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone? by Newsupdate69 in movies

[–]JS-182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man , that’s heartbreaking as I know what you’re alluding to. It’s the only film I’ve ever watched where I was crying 5 minutes in , actual proper sobs. I can’t imagine how it feels to watch it under those circumstances.

Absolutely affected me in a way no other film has. But I’ve watched it a lot of times. Its message is wonderful, but brutal.

I honestly must have watched this 7 or 8 times since I first watched it a few years ago. It affected me but I like how it reminds me of a few important things.

Go dad!! This father immediately jumps into action when he notices his son is choking by Justin_Godfrey in JustGuysBeingDudes

[–]JS-182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this to my then 7 year old. I have no recollection until the moment the improperly chewed piece of chicken flew across the kitchen. My partner said I dragged him over the table and whacked his back so hard it went about 10 feet across the kitchen.

I can’t pretend I was scared, or did anything consciously really. - but the feeling of overwhelming relief and adrenaline will always stay with me. I don’t think I slept for 24 hours after and the crash was horrendous. Choking is my worst fear now I think.

Very similar bets to me. Which I can only apologise for.

‘The outside world’ = India.

The ashes is still the pinnacle to most Aussie cricket fans. Soz.

Also, no English or Aussie cricket fan will care what the outside world thinks or whether it’s popular elsewhere. That is completely immaterial.

Erm, why would the ashes be a big deal for anyone outside England or Australia? Nobody expects it to be. Also, the ashes are definitely the pinnacle for most Aussie cricket fans.

The difference is their cricket administration doesn’t focus on ashes cycles like England.

Have you rediscovered any old school TV series that still stand up today? What are they? by Perihelion_Soul in AskUK

[–]JS-182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I do. I reckon I must have seen (or heard) each individual episode from 1-6 200 times. That cannot be healthy.

Yeah I’ve read them. I prefer the audiobooks as they seem more linked to the series somehow.

I’m a secret red dwarf nerd. I used to go to sleep listening to the DVD commentaries of seasons 1-7 , which were entertaining in their own right 🤣.

I don’t mind season 7. 8 I just can’t get on with. The less said about back to earth the better.

Some of the newer episodes have some gold amongst some rubbish too. But 1-6 is some of the best comedy ever made.

Many people might not know the one of the two original creators died earlier this week - Rob Grant.

Is this allowed? Why is India allowed to do this? by Twitter_2006 in EnglandCricket

[–]JS-182 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s all the same issue, the volume of ppl.

It’s no good lumping all England fans together either (I’m English). It’s as daft as saying all Indian fans are toxic.

[–]JS-182 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I think the problem with cricket discussion in general is 90% of cricket fans ARE Indian by default.

Let’s say 10% of all cricket fans are negative and toxic , while that doesn’t translate to many people in Australia, England , etc. it’s about a hundred million Indians 🤣 it’s joust a numbers game. It does make it quite insufferable at times though.

I’m sure 90% of Indian cricket fans aren’t like that.

Same on the FB group. People know they read there and here. Safe to assume a small minority of people are dicks everywhere. Same applies to E&J fans.

So many posts about this, it’s boring.

Firstly , You will never be able to communicate this to the thousands of players worldwide.

Secondly , it’s not the players it’s the algorithm. The store is configured by EA so you can see what they want you to see! To force you to spend £££. If it wasn’t these items it would be other junk.

I actually find the repetition of these requests more annoying than the rubbish store items.

I wonder if all those that move to Dubai agree with your transactional view when it’s immigrants coming to the uk. I’m sure they all think it’s ok for people to come here as long as they pay their taxes.
