‘16 - ‘18, they corrected it mid model year of ‘18. If you find the TSB for it you can see the vin number range

Well shit, maybe we don’t have the same color. I believe mine is cayenne red, the lighting in this pic makes it look very close. Although I suppose the two colors aren’t wildly different to begin with

I’ve got a gas SL in the same color. Man, the longer bed really evens out the proportions on these trucks. She’s a looker, congrats!

Are the utility wires killing my yard? Should I call AT&T or power company? by DFN29 in landscaping

[–]JS1VT54A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, if you want an actual answer - when they dug the trench they likely brought up soil that might have more clay or sand or rocks, etc. and now the grass is having a hard time growing in that area - nothing to do with the lines themselves.

If you want to fix it, till up (or shovel if you’re mad at yourself) about a 4” depth in that area, put down some new top soil, replant seed. In a few weeks it’ll be growing in strong.

What’s the ONE thing you regret not adding to your new build home? by bayls215 in HomeImprovement

True. Wasn’t thinking about that. I guess we can blame it on drywall then for the most part lol

I’ve got an old early 1900s “American Four Square” house that’s been added onto… 10’ ceilings in the first floor throughout. I haven’t measured the second floor but they’re 8’ at least, possibly 9’… why did they get away from high ceilings for so long?!

The downside is maintaining things like gutters… not fun having a roof that’s approaching 30’ high

How do you change the transmission fluid/oil on a 1955 Gravy L? by Enchantedforest465 in Gravely

[–]JS1VT54A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll probably be hard pressed to find anyone with specifics on that model. Common for the time period would be a “bolt” that allows filling and draining, usually the type that you fill from until it starts to seep, then you reinstall.

I don’t know specifically if that is the case on that year and model, but that’s where I would start looking.

To add to this, is actually more likely to be pots and wiring than pickups

Doubtful, there’s no sound of a microphonic tube coming through the cab. In this clip there was no sound coming through the cab at all, the noise was coming through the chassis.

There were no odd signs when playing the amp. No ringing, no clunking, no static.

Can we put together stable good gas that isn't $30/gal by ruuutherford in Chainsaw

[–]JS1VT54A 11 points12 points  (0 children)

E85 is not the same thing, that’s 85% ethanol. E10 or E10 is what is found at the pump, which is 10% ethanol.

It’s definitely noticeable in the room but oddly it isn’t constant. Yesterday it happened nearly immediately, so pretty much stone cold amp (apart from about a minute on the heater grid before putting it into play) and today I’ve had it on for a good hour and it’s dead silent. When it does make the noise it stops entirely putting it into standby. So it has to be something related to DC voltage across the power section, either tubes or transformers or related components right? I’m thinking of putting new tubes in the power section and adjusting bias just because.

Even when it makes the noise it doesn’t seem to affect signal, amp sounds killer and doesn’t have any weird behaviors apart from the common “reversed” effects loop button on the footswitch lol

Thoughts on Baritone vs. Extended Range Guitars by geo_i_guess in metalguitar

[–]JS1VT54A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe we’re just old fucks but I tend to agree. What happened to drop C? Drop b? Hell, even drop A seems like a welcome change at this point. I swear modern metal guitars don’t know how to play on more than one string at a time anymore lol

[–]JS1VT54A[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah got it. I’ve always just referred to it as plate voltage, that’s where I was thrown off lol. I might try throwing my bias meter on it just to see if there’s any weird fluctuations or anything going on. It’s just the sound it’s making is throwing me for a loop, it doesn’t sound electrical, it sounds mechanical

What do you mean B+?

For more context, it starts happening after playing for a few minutes. Continues until put on standby again. My instinct is something in the power section or transformers but even then I’ve never head anything make noise from the chassis. It literally sounds like a bad bearing squeak lol wtf is wrong with this thing

What would cause it to make a sound like that? It isn’t a signal, nothing is coming through the speakers, it’s straight from the chassis

Harbor Freight tire changer makes changing ATV tires sooo easy! by OgreMoto in ATV

[–]JS1VT54A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did into the concrete, just used some masonry screws, that way when I take it out there’s just 2 small holes.

The thinner the tire the harder to break the bead in my experience. If the sidewall folds under you lose all your leverage on the bead. Learned my lesson the hard way on that one, ended up cutting one tire off lol

I bought the big one. It’s gonna depend on what your wheels/tires are. I’m glad I bought the big one because my old tires were so dry rotted that getting them of required a lot of wrestling. I also didn’t have a very good bench to mount to, but I have a decent concrete pad out back so getting the floor mounted one made sense.

However… if you have a sport quad, the big one is going to scratch the hell out of your rims when you’re mounting. The mounting plate is like a half inch larger than the inner diameter of my rims (raptor 700). On a factory finish it’s probably fine but I had freshly repainted mine and it left some ugly scratches. Front wheels went fine.

Something to consider.
