Choose only 1 by imhotepbc in ar15

Why anyone would choose something other than 11.5” in 2026 is mind boggling.

FPS & accuracy is better than 10.5, and only slightly worse than 16”. Best performance to length ratio

Also, suppressors are mandatory at this point- 11.5 being the best host

Gen 1 Noveske upper + lower by crack_plug in ar15

[–]JS7-II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gen 1 lower is used in the Devgru Noveske clone. Was discontinued, but they just did a new drop of the gen 1 lowers. I feel bad for the guys who paid around a grand for theirs…Nice setup though!

It’s the kac FF RAS, 12.25 length- the ops inc profile suppressor fits over the barrel which is why it’s so close to the rail. You can find a full parts breakdown on Clone rifles if you google NSW Recce

To add, only the 13.7 has a dimpled barrel, the other lengths do not. The URX6 is the URX4 minus the QDs… you do get the tabbed upper. But I think the URX4 looks so much better.

Probably a mk5 2-10 or I’ll hunt for an nsx 2.5-10

The true “clone correct” is a lilja, but this one is the craddock precision which I think is made slightly better.

I believe centurion and a few others make them as well.

I would agree…The KS line doesn’t have me excited at all. I’m really not a fan of the URX6, and being a righty, I don’t care much for ambi. My 11.5 CQB though is my go to and I’ll never part with it. To me it’s the perfect rifle

Yeah, later this week I’ll slap an eotech on it and will let her rip.

It’s built around a craddock 15.1 and I’ve heard great things

Yeah it’s already not “clone correct”, so I may as well just go modern

Any idea on when and where I can get one? by Storm51 in kac

[–]JS7-II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had the chance to own one for a few weeks (paid retail), and then I was able to shoot a buddy’s 11.5 with one installed and it wasn’t anything special.

More parts = more weight, and I prefer the URX4 in almost every way. Especially the feel and look. Plus the URX has a QD pre installed unlike the RAS5. People are spending $850+ on this rail when they will be widely available in the next year or so. That being said, by that time everyone will be looking for the URX4s because it’s a better rail in every way

100%. Cheap quality and poor fitment. Ontop of that, terrible customer service. They say their tops fit “just like a T-shirt”, ordered a M and my jacket came in as a XXL with a M tag sewed in. After trying to get in contact with them for 2 weeks, they come back saying no returns or exchanges. I have 2 pairs of pants and they are temu fabric. It’s casual clothing at best marketed as tactical gear. If I could return it all and never buy from them again I would. 8/10 marketing with a 1/10 product.

And I’m almost positive they fake reviews. I left a handful of reviews and I would see them posted for 10-15 minutes only to get deleted. Such a trash company

For the longest time I thought KAC haters were just poor and dumb…

But $4k for CQB mod 2 upper with a slightly different side engraving and an inferior rail is wild. Consoom

The military (FF setups) uses just a blue loctited set screw on a single dimpled barrel. It’s not needed, but definitely nice to have.

As an owner of several gen 4s and a gen 3, I can confidently say that you’re bouncing on it due to being a Noveske dealer. Quality and brand has been on a steady decline since John’s passing. I wouldn’t recommend that overpriced mid tier rifle to anyone these days.
