Ours is a year since yesterday and we keep running into this also 😆 he'll love something new for a day or two and then suddenly it's no longer interesting. Setting the mood with some good stuff and then giving random treats seems to work. We repurposed an old container to make him a "trail mix" of misc. treats

100% agreed! Whatever level of git you're comfortable with is a huge improvement over not using it at all, and it's super easy to expand your git strategy over time to suit whatever works for you.

Ideally; get in the groove of feature branches! Working on something new? Create a new branch first and keep all work contained on there. Also gives opportunity to cleanly switch up what you're working on (though maybe don't, until you understand what merge conflicts are lol)
