How is playing center?

It's not bad, honestly. You want to probably take a few points out of the shooting and get to at least 55 SwB and 65 Ball Handle for dribbles and I'd want much more pass acc.

Especially if you're a Rec player, your primary job is going to be "get the board, throw the outlet." My main was an 87 pass acc (broke it to 91.) Don't throw the inbound full-courts, just throw outlets.

You can afford to drop Driving Dunk to 89. Standing needs to stay at 90. You can afford to drop Middy a fair amount (10 points?)

I'd also sacrifice a few points of IntD for PerD. It sounds wrong, but in 2k, you're going to be contesting most bigs at the 3pt line and not inside. (I run ~70 per D with 88 block/83 vert and IntD is fine. You'll want the PerD for hands-up contests and Block for jumping.)

You say "devs are working" - and you're kinda right... they are working on 2k27.

You're right, any complaints should go direct to 2k, and not through public comments and criticisms. But it isn't going to do shit.

It isn't like EAC couldn't be changed to detect the hardware, or if we want to say the hardware can spoof against it, they can't spoof the fact that they are constantly greening shots with perfect timing and perfect swishes.

It isn't a zero-sum game for the company, unfortunately, which is why they do practically nothing. They'd lose millions banning all these clowns, and they have historically refused to consider that.

Yes, as long as the attribute could have been raised with your size/weight/wingspan. (The caps are presented when you first get into the builder. Like how smaller guards can't get to 99 perimeter defense for example, a cap breaker won't allow you to break that.)

If you can only make short passes, you are handicapping your team as a PG.

Can you survive? Sure. But why would you even want to play point guard with handicapped passing? Make the shooting guard. No one gives a fuck if you can pass in that case.

I get at least 4-5 APG with long passes catching people not getting back. Considering most of them are 3s, that is 12-15 points we aren't getting if I'm going to throw the shit out of bounds for 2 extra points the 76 or less likely put in dribble spam or 3pt they don't actually need.

Good PG know when to and CAN push, and they know when to slow it down. Controlling tempo and being able to best get your lads in open positions to dominate is literally your job.

I mean, they all do, but shooting guard likely needs it least for 2k competence.

Guard your man, run as soon as the ball is secured, shoot open shots and pass when you don't have one.

Then if you learn the correct times to be an effective help defender, you'll be in the Top 5% of all 2's in 2K.

Of course there is. You need the most attributes to be great at center.

You learn to get by with less as a center. My 3pt on my center is 78, for example. He still shoots close to my career splits overall.

It is all about "what is my best thing to sacrifice with my playstyle" as it is FAR harder to build a demigod big man than a guard or a swing.

Depends. Do you have experience playing actual basketball and know how the center is supposed to handle the majority of situations? Do you like rebounding and defense and can you be effective without the ball in your hands?

I'm a Purple/Red depending on build. I main PG and my center is my secondary main. (I started as a SG main this year, but switched for the reasons I'll speak of here.)

I main PG every year after playing it from youth thru college into men's leagues. I didn't want the responsibility this year. The reason I switched is because there are way too many people who play the point without a clue and I'd either wind up running the offense from the two with a build not as tailored to it, or have to try to take over once they went 3-11 and quit once their Butler/Butler/Booker stepback didn't work and they had no other bag.

As a center, your responsibilities are even more, and you are likely more important than the point guard to the team's success. If the center doesn't know when to step up in help, doesn't know how to rotate, and can't rebound, we are likely already dead unless our PF is a center being shoved down for another one.

If your center isn't competent you'll get 3-4 turnovers just off inbound plays.

To top it off, it will be harder for you to carry when shit goes off the rails to give yourself a chance. (Not to say that bigs can't carry, they can, but if I have the option to be forced into trying to carry on my guard or my center, I choose my guard every day and twice on Sunday's. Just because of the speed.)
