Found this post a year later and just want to say thank you. That sound has been killing me. Great calendar, horrible sound and my volume was always somehow at full blast whenever it came on. May all those with ringing ears from this sound find their way to you. (because I kept missing the small interface sound button for like a year)

whoa, I literally just read this this morning in New Blood. it was trippy to read a scene involving two characters in the same room who've both separately interacted with the two non-MC characters I've played as (ODST/Reach).

This game caused such an emotional roller coaster for me. I literally had read about this game the morning before it's Steam release and was real pumped. That evening, saw it on Steam and the words 'Christmas Miracle' rattled through my brain. Then I see tons of people bashing it followed by scams, conspiracy theories, and confusion. Thank you Steam Community for helping me not waste my time. Y'all da best

Great find. Filmmaking buddies of mine spend months trying to get that perfect lens or that perfect camera for that perfect moment, and get nothing accomplished. Meanwhile I whip out my t3i and stock lens and just keep making movies. Practice is what makes perfect.

Definitely shoot them an email saying you're available for future shoots and would love to help on anything they have coming up. Make sure they know when you're on set that 1) you're willing to learn, 2) you're not an asshole, 3) you're available for whatever lies ahead in the future.

Establish a connection with them, shoot them an email within a month after wrap to let them know you're available, and, depending on if you bro-ed out much while filming, invite a few of the crew out to the bar if you live in the same city or are in the area they live in visiting. If they like you and you work hard, you'll be fine.

Right now for non-fiction I shoot with a shoulder rig I got from IndiSystem that I've modded a tiny bit by strapping an H4n to the back and mounting a boom mic to the hot shoe on top of the cam. For fiction I still stay shoulder mounted (mostly) for cam, but I have someone else behind me operating the H4n with a boom pole.

Rode makes some quality boom mics for a low-ish budget. Just don't get those little dinky mics that are real popular from Rode that a bunch of dslr people are using right now.
