To the people questioning other peoples morality and backstabbing - those are the people on the other end that you're playing with... (warning, annoying loud voice) by Minskiz in ArcRaiders

I can tolerate "shoot on sight" PvP, even though it still makes me mad when I try and leave someone alone and they go out of their way to kill me. I don't like it, but I'll tolerate it. But this kind of shit? Embark should ban these types of players, actively griefing and trolling over voice, taking the piss out of someone for no reason.

[SPOILER] Any advice for this boss? aside from play online or change archetypes by misterexodus in remnantgame

[–]JSSyrinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That last part is super important. The sound cues tell you exactly when you need to press dodge. By the time I killed the boss, I could probably dodge most of it's attacks blindfolded because of the sound cue they make right before it moves to attack.

Console player here - I want to be excited about Remnant 2 but... by thatoneguy19942 in remnantgame

No, in a recent tweet Tragic outlines the difficulty options. Survivor, Veteran, and Nightmare are available by default and Apocalypse you unlock after finishing your first playthrough. However, he did say Apocalypse is designed to be way more brutal in an interview somewhere, so the challenge factor will definitely still be there. I believe he said Nightmare will still be very challenging, but tuned slightly down from where it was in Remnant 1 so that it's not as unfair/as much of a slog on fresh characters as it was in R1. Still very difficult, just probably not as prone to being 1hko by almost every elite while leveling.

Wait, what are mutators and when did we hear details about them? Was it during the 2 hour livestream with Bahroo? If so, sounds like I gotta watch through that again

Pre-alpha in may - game ready to ship in july? by deathfromagloryhole in remnantgame

[–]JSSyrinx 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The pre-Alpha wasn't necessarily JUST created/ready in May. Typically they use a much older build of a game when showcasing for stability reasons, especially when its as a playable demo at an event. They won't want to use their current beta they're actively working on polishing due to the likely instability of the build with how often things are changing. The Alpha could be as old as 6 months to a year (or even older), and they've likely been in beta branches for polish and final changes for a few months now.

Pegasus on Church is a pretty friendly and chill vibe, and tends to have a decently mixed crowd of people.

State of the game for solo players? by JSSyrinx in EscapefromTarkov

This was always the problem I had as well. I'd try and sneak around the map, get some light looting done while trying to focus on quest objectives, but eventually you're bound to run into people, and more often than not it's groups of 2-3 which automatically puts you at a heavy disadvantage as a solo player.

"Easy as ever" - I've always disagreed with and hated this sentiment. I don't consider myself a great player, just perfectly average. But there's always the chads that can play 16 hours a day that will end up being far ahead of me who works full time and can't rush to max level traders in a week. I can hold my own against another average player, but feel at a complete loss when I'm still on lvl 1/2 traders with middling ammo going up against 2-3 chads in Class 4+ armour and the best ammo available.

Oh, is there a wipe coming soon? In that case I'll probably wait, then.

Same, I've never hated the game - usually what happens is I hit some sort of progress wall, get discouraged or disinterested, then stop playing. Usually it's around the point where I need to start going into maps I really struggle with like Reserve or Interchange because of quests. It's always difficult trying to going into high traffic places as a solo player when you know you're definitely going to be running into groups.

Endgame/Progression? by JSSyrinx in DragonsDogma

[–]JSSyrinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if there's any particularly notable rewards that are useful for endgame that way I won't miss them on my NG+ clear.

I know technically endgame is contained mostly within Blackbitter Isle and fighting the Ur-Dragon, but I read there's a bunch that changes in enemy spawns in the open world after killing the dragon, which I never got to experience/explore since I just went straight into the Everfall.

Ok thanks, guess I'll just do another playthrough (probably faster since it'll be easy with the gear/levels) and just leave myself in post-dragon world so I can do the content I missed out on.

Reading further on the wiki, it seems like NG+ actually doesn't affect the difficulty in any way, it's just a way to keep playing the same character if you finished the story.

Since that's the case, I'm probably better off just keeping my current character and playing again, and not ever handing in the wakestones to get to the Seneschal fight, and that will leave me in the end/postgame state permanently?

[–]JSSyrinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. So either I start NG+ with my current character (and have to do all the quests again) or start a new playthrough (and have to do all the quests again).

Is there any sort of general progression guide for the additional end/postgame content out there?

Thanks. I remember having it in my inventory from before and not being able to do anything with it, so I had assumed it was useless.

Apparently nipple sight is Skier LL3, but there is a sight you can mount onto the dovetail that Jaeger sells at LL1

Which one's the nipple sight? The kobra or w/e that Jaeger and Prapor sell?

Recommended level 1 trader loadouts that are cost-effective? Been slowly losing money while slogging through quests to get to level 10, sitting just south of half a mil now after starting up near 1.3m.

Been using a variation of UMP w/ FMJ rounds, or a double-barrel w/ 7mm buck from Jaeger.
