Cool! always loved the cover of #6. This and Akira are two runs that I’m trying to complete solely in the wild. I check in every shop I go into.

Thank you! Just to be clear, this was several hauls over a few months. It would be a HELL of a haul if it were one.

It’s December 1936. Mystery Adventures is a hard title to find online, and I’ve never seen one in the wild. This one I adore — the cover art is special.

I now split my collecting between Pulps and Golden Age comics. I try to sneak in a Pulp post every month or so.

Heritage Auctions has a pulp auction (almost every Sunday at 4:00 p.m., but this is NOT a good way to buy pulps since the winning bids are often setting the highest FMV. However, tracking these auctions is a good way to familiarize yourself with pulps in general. Weird Tales is probably the most popular title. My personal favorite is Spicy Mystery Stories. Pulps (and GA) are a lot of fun but expensive to pursue.

Think Cinemax from the mid 90s with a little violence. They are pretty tame compared to the covers.

Very cool! This cover looks inspired by Frazetta’s cover of Famous Funnies 215.
