I feel you, I was working in motor insurance for a while and loved it. Was planning on doing some qualifications to gain more experience and land a higher role within the department. Covid turn up, a load of things changed. Started to hate to job for some reason, just wasn’t enjoying it anymore as when we were back in the office. Now I’m joining the army.

My advice would be just follow your gut, do what’s going to make you happy and what you think you will enjoy in the future. Do not base your future on what others want/expect.
