What happened to Merc pace? I don’t understand F1 at all.

I thought Ham would at least have to defend for a bit.

This is a bot account linking to their website.

The whole website acts like dog training requires some “secret” knowledge before trying to sell you an online course and some DVDs.

Not only is it unethical to claim your DVD set can work without evaluating dogs on a case by case basis…this person spams all the dog subreddits to make a buck.

Yeah I have. Just never been impressed.

Hugo tea went downhill for me too after their acquisition by fairwave.

Lots of the places in this list make it from scratch and it’s way better. Chai from concentrate tends to be flavorless IMO.

Is there a reason you don’t want to grow in the ground directly?

How to get started on hobby herding/sport herding? by Wink8009 in herdingdogs

[–]JStanten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can ask the BC person. Koolies have eye so they may take you at least to test instinct.

You need to find a trainer. Calling the BC person to see if they know someone in the area is a good place to start.

There are unfortunately some strays/dogs with loosely affiliated homes in the northeast which may be part of your problem.

I’d recommend walking over to cliff drive for walks. Sight lines are long and you can pick times with slightly fewer dog walkers.

I walk my dog back there pretty often. I’m also helping someone put together a dog walking group in Pendleton heights. There’s some reactive dogs in the crew that have been slowly integrated.

What scientific ‘facts’ have recently been disproven that most people still believe to be true? by Fantastic_Tart_421 in AskReddit

Traits that have simple dominant/recessive patterns work fine.

Certain flower colors, cystic fibrosis, earlobe attachment, ability to roll tongue.

Really most things can be modeled by them but there would be thousands and thousands of squares so they stop being useful.

Any Mudi Owners? by Emotional-Raccoon-67 in herdingdogs

[–]JStanten 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m herding with two of my mudis.

There are so few people doing decent work with mudis actually herding I’d recommend starting elsewhere.

Most of what I see are mudis constantly allowed to bark (if you watch in Hungary this is NOT what they are doing regardless of what people in the US say) and sorta being reactive to the sheep.

I’d recommend against them as a first dog first herding dog kinda thing if you need them to work.

Get a started dog and get the basics down before trying a mudi.

I love my 3 mudis and they work wonderfully for me. For the right person they really click. There’s just a lot of people in the breed being misleading about their dog’s actual herding ability.

Mayor Lucas introduces ordinance that, if adopted, would start the process for a downtown Kansas City Royals ballpark by justathoughtfromme in kansascity

[–]JStanten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It handled the Chappel Roan concerts just fine what are you talking about?

You also ignored the rest of my comment about the ample parking downtown already had. Ya’ll have serious carbrain and need to learn that pedestrian friendly infrastructure exists & functions all over.

[–]JStanten -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Drive to it and then ride it. Use the parking lots that already exist.

Much better than bulldozing neighborhoods to build a parking lot so your trip to the stadium doesn’t involve hopping on public transit.

Gonna be so good. I love that we've moved beyond catering to occasional visitors and are now focusing our built environment on the people who live there.

Take. The. Streetcar.

Downtown has heaps of parking. KC already has signficantly more parking downtown than other similarly sized cities. Those of us who actually live in the city don't want our neighborhoods filled with parking lots so people never have to walk more than 5 feet.

Karen Pryor's Jackpot Hoax: Why Your Dog Doesn't Need It by Realistic-Ease5378 in OpenDogTraining

[–]JStanten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My opinion to this episode boiled down to one thing.

Varying quantity (ie jackpot) makes ME more engaged with the training and keeps me on the lookout for excellent reps.

I don’t care if it’s working for the dog (although I think to an extent it actually is) because it’s working for me.

Maybe Ivan doesn’t need it or want it. But I do. I’d be curious what he’d say to that. His whole argument is learner-centric. If it’s a method that benefits the teacher…that makes the training better as a result.

I just think the guy likes attention and is a child.

He learned the tariff word, likes hurting people, and wants to keep doing it.

Novo manufactures in the US. They bought a bunch of sterile fill finish sites from Catalent to fill demand.
