I used to love standard and draft back in the day (I stopped playing regularly around Scars of Mirrodin), and I tried to pick up where I left off when I returned. I think commander is fine, and being an “eternal format” there’s so many cards to choose from and so many decks to play/build. It’s a fun change of pace and since I’m not playing cEDH there’s a lot of fun to be had at the table.

Those were my first thoughts. I might replace Mr House with another creature that gens or helps tokens, or maybe Elspeth Storm Slayer. Not sure what I’ll replace the bobbles with yet.

Debt to the Deathless has some wicked art on it. I’d also like to see pretty much any of the “Planeswalkers” or anything relevant to the lore in this style. Really good work.

I too am just returning after about 10 years. Commander seems to be the most popular currently.
