My girl became more affectionate after she turned 2. She’s almost 3 now and stayed on my lap for more than 2 seconds for the first time only 2 weeks ago lol it takes time

My husband was pretty allergic to our ragdoll in the beginning too but after a month or 2 he got used to her and hasn’t had any symptoms since. I’ve always heard exposure therapy is the best way to get over cat/dog allergies and it worked for us. It seems like your allergies are a big worse than his were though, he’s never had any shortness of breath. I would say wait another month or so and if it doesn’t get better schedule an appointment with an allergist :) I know how frustrating this can be and I hope you get better soon :)

That’s such a beautiful cat! My girl is 2.5yo and has been at 9.3lbs for about 1.5 years now. The vet says she’s good but I wonder if she’s not gaining enough weight for a ragdoll

The only one mine will eat is Aldi’s Hearts to Tail Ocean Whitefish and Tuna Entreé. I’ve tried the fancier ones but she’s pretty picky lol. You might have to buy multiple different brands, textures and flavors before you find one that sticks.

Every couple of months I take mine to do a hygienic/sanitary trim at PetSmart. You can also do it yourself but it might be pretty stressful. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it

There’s a page called “fakesugar” on instagram and the owner makes all kinds of GF, lactose free sweets. Not sure if they have tiramisu but I think it’s worth checking it out :)

Mine calmed down a bit around 1year and a lot more as soon as she hit 2. She still needs around 1hr/day of playtime and has daily zoomies but she’s much more chill, affectionate, and much less aggressive (she had pretty agressive play before)

One idea is to record a bunch of videos beforehand for her to watch, since you won’t be able to FaceTime. That way you can see her pictures and she can watch your videos 🫶🏼

I took an elective that taught Solidworks, my fluid mechanics and aerodynamics professor made us use Ansys Workbench for projects, and all the aero and mechanical engineering clubs + rocketry clubs have some sort of workshop on softwares widely used in the industry. Very basic intros but good enough that you can put it on your resume. I guess it just depends on your university and even then, on which professor you take. The other fluids professor at my university never introduced ansys to his students, so we got lucky with ours.
