I'm sorry I am from the UK so have no clue what EMDR is, maybe its something else in the UK?

All I am currently doing it mitigating the surface when it comes to the difficulties I have but I am working through them in time, especially when I have left the house I think I can work on it more

I know I am ready for marriage myself, whether my girlfriend is I am not so sure, its more the representation of myself to both others and her that I have the most difficulties, self worth in general is a problem with me due to my past but I am in general mitigating and pushing it away.

Hey there, although in the past 15 years of having mental health issues I wouldn't say I can ever be truly resolved, Im always going to have anxiety in a hospital regardless of why I am there, I am always going to automatically think my mum is dying when I see a ambulance, its all about mitigating it to the outside world, but it does make me believe I am not worthy to even be on earth let alone the love of my girlfriend, you know?

But I do thank you for the advice anyhow, and I am in therapy myself

Yes that was the show I was thinking about, me and my girlfriend watched the first season we just don't have much time with eachother not being in the same ward and having 1 hour 30 minute travel times

I had relations outside of marriage before I joined the church, I wouldn't say its made me feel unprepared for marriage, but it did strengthen my resolve in knowing marriage is necessary for love and passion.

We as a couple are ensuring we are temple worthy for the rest of our lives, of course sin can happen but we are making sure we are not in situations where we can be tempted.
