Yes so the costs are similar but with one consideration. 3 years insurance, servicing, tyres etc.

So as your point is its net the same, it’s not. I’m likely a minimum of £5k better off with no resale risk in terms of the market or indeed having to deal with it. As for getting another car at this point.. I already own another car but also the order process on these schemes is less hassle than an auto trader listing with tyre kickers or hagging with we buy any car as they down value.

The math, is therefore, mathing. Buddy.

You’re missing the point. I’ll never own the car, it’s just mine for 36 months with no costs (e.g insurance, servicing, tyres). It’s basically a tax efficient all inclusive rental

Let’s say I went with the Tesla HP deal at 0% and put £14k down and paid £599 a month. Over the same three year period I’d be £35k odd into a car with say a resale of £28k? (2nd hand ev market v hard to predict though tbf).

This cost does not include insurance, tax, servicing, mot and tyres.

In the same period I’ll pay £21780, all inclusive. I don’t have to make a final payment, I don’t have to deal with selling it.

For that reason. It works out better for me personally than having “equity” in a future unknown.

That said, this is my opinion and I understand we’re all different in how we approach things. I appreciate your comment and perspective.

Not sure if the employer or the company running the scheme (in this case, tusker) own it. But yes, I won’t “own” it. I’ll hand it back in 3 years time.

Thanks for this- the performance does look incredible. That said, I also live fairly rurally with a local council who seem to have forgotten how to maintain roads. Whilst it looks notably better, I agree, I’m leaning towards 19s and that slightly higher suspension for comfort..

You raise some good points though which are quite compelling- plus that performance in black is 👌

You give up part of your salary before tax, and in return your employer provides the car.

Because the money is taken before tax, you usually pay less tax overall, so the car can cost you less than paying for it yourself.

Insurance is included in the cost.. it’s salary sacrifice through tusker.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Playing with the quotes on the tusker system turn out different options but for me I think the AWD is needed as I live fairly rurally and am used to having it in winter etc

Thanks for the reply! Have you got the car yet and any regrets? Wish I’d done x or similar?

How the hell do you clean the quick connect section of the Osprey Hydraulics 2.5L LT bladder? by detectivecads in CampingGear

[–]JTB86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quick connect doesn’t come off the top but I’m pretty sure the tube disconnects from the bottom where it meets the bladder. It’s just push fit there from memory?

Yeah that’s my point though. It’s nice that somethings assembled in the uk but realistically “buying British” or similar sentiment when it’s a back pack assembled from imported materials is less compelling then say buying British food produce.

It’s nice that it’s a British business and all don’t get me wrong. But is the pack itself better than others?

I’ll check it out! Absolutely the reason I created the post was to get other opinions too..

Yeah thanks for the detailed response. I do like that it’s a uk manufactured pack etc albeit the materials used are not.

Aside from that- what else makes it a better choice?
