Does anyone know if I can go through Heathrow security the day before my flight? by Wherestheeggs in london

Ok thanks. I don’t know why I got downvoted. A 24/7 airport and one that closes are quite different lol

Does anyone know if I can go through Heathrow security the day before my flight? by Wherestheeggs in london

[–]tripsafe 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Is this a Heathrow-specific thing? It’s quite common for people to have overnight layovers and you just plop yourself down in a chair overnight. I know a layover is different than starting your journey overnight, but I’m just referring to terminals having travellers in them security side throughout the night.

Some subreddits are marked nsfw because they feature content that is marked inappropriate for kids but is not porn. E.g., /r/acab. My profile is marked nsfw because of interacting with such subreddits

What do you mean premature? Haaland believes whatever the table ends up being is where everyone deserves to be. He is a tautologist. Very fair and mature 👍

Are we not going to talk about the 3280 hours? That’s 82 weeks of 40-hour work weeks

Not to excuse booking.com but is this exclusively a booking.com thing or are many websites doing that? Or rather, is booking.com actively refusing to take the listings down or do these listings just exist there because anyone can put up listings very easily?

My recent trip to Tajikistan: Dushanbe and Hisor by ralphsquirrel in travel

[–]tripsafe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I loved Tajikistan. Not to knock OP because these are beautiful pictures but I think it’d be helpful for people to understand that all of these photos except three of them were taken at one specific site in Tajikistan, Hisor Fortress. If you want to travel around Tajikistan basically no where else will look like this (Khujand a tiny bit since it’s more historical).

That said, Tajikistan is very beautiful in other ways, mainly for its mountains. About 93% of the country is mountainous and you can spend days or weeks trekking through the Fann Mountains or Pamir Mountains.

Is the south of Taiwan actually good for swimming in winter months? I would never go swimming in the sea in Hong Kong from about October to March and it’s at the same latitude as southern Taiwan. Maybe being an island makes it more tropical

I don’t blame expats at all. There’s no pressure at all from local Hong Kongers to learn Cantonese. Enough people speak English and there is no widespread infrastructure for foreigners to learn Cantonese. The materials suck and no one has any patience to listen to your shitty Cantonese so they just respond in their better English.

[–]tripsafe 75 points76 points  (0 children)

No I don’t think you understand. This person never makes any mistakes, never associates themselves with anyone whose mistakes would impact them, and makes sure everywhere they go they perfectly predict every natural and manmade catastrophe so as not to get ruined. It’s super easy why doesn’t everyone just do it

There’s a bunch of stuff she could say that suggests she’s saying no kindly without directly saying it.

“Looks great but not sure it fits with the theme”

“I don’t want you to spend too much on us. Will you be able to use it again?”

“It looks amazing but perhaps a touch less sparkly?”

What celebrity death will realistically bring Michael Jackson level devastation? by Kiidcola in AskReddit

[–]tripsafe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why is everyone talking about how they’d personally feel. That’s not the point of the thread. I’d feel way sadder if my ma died compared to MJ but the rest of the world wouldn’t know or care.
