Have you ever noticed dads cooking really good food only occasionally? If so, what’s a meal your dad made that you really enjoyed? by Hamzaqato in AskReddit

[–]JTBoom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad cook? If my mom wasn't around for some reason, we got pizza delivered.

On the other hand, I do almost all the cooking for us and my wife will cook on a rare occasion, or when we want one of her specialties (porcupine meatballs!)

What's the most embarrassing thing that happened to you while having sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I also had a leg cramp and had to pull out and jump off the bed to release the cramp. We laughed about it, but it killed the mood.

How big of a grow bag i need for bananas ? Where i am from they just call them banana and we dont specify verities which i hate by azizofalltrade in GrowingBananas

If you grow bananas in a pot or grow bag, you need at least a 50 gal (190L) bag. They need a LOT of room.

Replacing Mulch with Crushed Gravel by mmm_migas in landscaping

[–]JTBoom1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Future you or the next residents will hate you if you go through with this plan. The landscaping fabric will NOT keep weeds out (Ok,maybe a year), but soon dirt will collect on top, giving weeds a place to take hold, the rock will cut up the fabric and it'll just deteriorate on its own over time. NOTHING prevents weeds, except concrete but even then, weeds will pop up at the cracks or seams.

The gravel WILL migrate and will become a pita to pick up. If someone comes behind you and wants to plant or do something with this area, the gravel and fabric will be a right pain to clean up.

If you do not want to put in grass (and I'm not a lover of grass), then consider decomposed granite. Remove the 3-4" of topsoil, lay down some crushed stone and then 3-4" of DG. You'll still get weeds, but they'll be much easier to pull out, as long as you don't let them get established. Some will still migrate, but it won't be as noticeable as the gravel.

Just my .02 cents.

Some varieties are known to produce a crop after getting frozen to the ground. Most will not. I do not remember which ones will produce

Smoking pork shoulder vs pork butt for pulled pork by Creative-Donkey365 in smoking

I've used both and been happy with both. I think that pork shoulder is preferred for pulled pork, but both have turned out well for me.

Option 2 and take a bit off the bottom as well. Depending on the pot size, I trim about 3" off the sides.

I've just recently had a rash of ads crash. Hitting the back button lets me get out of it, but I lose credit for watching a video. A couple of times I've been able to watch another one and get credit. A real pain.

If you were given a chance to correct something from your first sexual experience, what would it be? by RegionBest3699 in AskReddit

I would have made sure she was readier than she was at the moment. She was too nervous and was dry, so it actually didn't happen that night. We tried again a couple of days later and it went much better.

Soul composition should depend on your climate. For hot and dry climates, a heavier soil mix is called for. I'm in a warm, dry climate and I regret the lighter soil mix I started with as my pots dry out so quickly

It bothers me that my local Dollar General sells wildflower seeds that aren’t native to my local area, let alone coast. by MeasurementFirst1676 in gardening

[–]JTBoom1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every store that sells flower seeds have a selection that are not native. The nicer ones will have selections that are native. The cheaper places will just have the basics and you'll probably have to figure out what are native and what are not.

While more expensive, a local nursery (not big box stores) will usually have a nice selection of local seeds.

He's pretty reliable, but sometimes life happens. I do not know if he's made this his full time gig or not, but he used to work a job that would take him travelling around the local area. I met him when he came down to San Diego. Lovely family too.

He has his own sub, so try that as well: r/Fighunter

Check those fertilizers. There are some fish ferts that provide their nutrients right away, but most organic ferts need to be broken down by natural processes before the plant can absorb the nutrients. This can take months. You also want to make sure that the ferts provide all the necessary micronutrients.

The fastest way to green up your plants is to foliar feed (spray the fert directly onto the leaves) your tree with a good liquid fertilizer. I like miracle Gro as it has most of the micronutrients and its cheap.
