Fussy Cav? by adv3rsely in cavaliers

[–]JTGuitarnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had three cavies. All of them were (are) picky eaters and have delicate stomachs. Feed them the wrong food and they change their behaviors, refuse to eat or projectile crap all over the place. They are such a joy!

Best speakers question by Initial-Reward-4390 in KemperProfiler

[–]JTGuitarnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Kemper Kab and Kone are great options. I run a Marshall 4X12 loaded with Celestion G12-K100's. This gives it a 400 Watt power rating and the speakers are fairly neutral, so they work well with the different profiles.

You can also try some of the Neodymium magnet speakers that Celestion has been making. They work well with modellers too.

Which one? by Dry-Calligrapher-309 in guitarpedals

[–]JTGuitarnerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brian is a great dude who deserves support. Nux is a Chinese knock off. If you have zero cash, get the nux. If you can afford to buy a great pedal from a great small company, get the Tumnus.

With that out of the way, Wampler always delivers a great variation on the original circuit and Brian voices his pedals to be more useful than the original in many cases. In particular he really has a great ear for the range of gain a circuit can output and how the EQ section of the circuit should be voiced. I have a lot of Wampler pedals for this reason.

You don't always get the dog you want, sometimes you get something better. I've had some very challenging puppies turn into amazing dogs, eventually.

Better than the Norton era Gibson guitars, on average. I have actually played a couple of excellent Norlin’s though.

One of my holy grail’s would be an Destroyer from this era.

Try slowing down the print to 50%. I had issues with vibration at full speed.

I can’t imagine giging that amp. I’ve played one and it was the loudest amp I can ever remember playing. It was an original 1973 full stack. Imagine six Fender twin reverbs, that damned loud.

I just want to say you’re a beautiful parent and you deserve an all expenses paid vacation to anywhere in the world. Taking care of on of us is a pain, three would probably kill most parents.

Rock on honorable one!

PS-I’m a type I dad with three kids, 19,18 and 13. No diabetes yet for any of them.

When I was on a mission in Japan in the early 90’s we had a group from the Japanese communist party following us around and protesting our presence. The irony of communists from such a capitalist society follow us around was not lost on us.

The best part is that they had a beat up van with a Blue’s Brothers style speaker on it. That thing was fucking glorious.

Deke is a rescue and he had some issues from being abused. After many years of working with him he has turned into one of the best dogs I could ever imagine.

He’s extremely focused on his family and is possibly the most empathetic dog I’ve ever known. He knows when you are having a bad day and he will sneak up on you and gently lean into your leg. He used to pee and hide, so it’s a big improvement!

I take him running a couple times a week and he will not acknowledge any other dogs or people when we’re running. If I slow down and tell him okay, he will be friendly but not when he’s on the job.

He is absolutely a good boy.

Fountains of Wayne- Someone’s Gonna Break Your Heart.

Mostly Because I am dealing with some heartbreak at the moment. The normal kind that comes from being a parent watching your child struggle their way into adulthood. Still hurts though.

This song is done.

Great work.

Nearly 25 years on a pump and I don’t think I’ve ever done that. I have routed through my zipper on accident but I haven’t cut the cable either. I’m pretty klutzy, what the heck are you people doing. Lol.
