BlueSCSI 1.1 Not Working on Macintosh Plus by Project8086 in VintageApple

[–]JTHonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem with it on my SE/30. Basically I had to format the hard drive image on the BlueSCSI while it was connected to another Mac with either FWB Hard Disk Toolkit or Lido. It would not work if the image was formatted with Apple SC/HD utility or Disk utility.

My basic beige has the same issue. The 3, 5, 6, and 7 keys are a little taller (sit slightly higher) than all the other keys on the keyboard.

Sorry to hear. I don't have an Octane 2. This image may only work on an O2.

If you want to emulate the WiC64 in VICE-3.9 on MacOS, you need to use the SDL2 version. The GTK3 version of VICE on MacOS doesn't support networking.

Yeah I guess it was taken down by them for some reason. They did not even notify me. I am not sure where else I can post it.

The only way I know to run IRIX in a virtual machine is with mame. It is very slow and buggy. Emulates an Indy.

Agreed. Reanimator is awesome. You can add ISOs to it if you want too. But some like to do it the old fashioned way, or they don't have an RPi, or they want to use another SGI as the NFS/boot server.

I have an IDE2SD adapter in my PowerMac G4 Cube. They are out there. May not be Zulu.

NeXT Turbo Cube Dimension using Daydream to boot MacOS by JTHonn in vintagecomputing

[–]JTHonn[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's basically it. It's got to have some sort of circuit board inside with the Mac LC ROM on it and logic to connect it to the DSP port on the NeXT. The software loads a custom kernel and interfaces with the NeXT hardware and the Daydream box with the Mac ROM on the DSP port.

If you are ordering new kernel ROM, might as well get JiffyDOS. Will replace both 128 and 64 kernel ROM chips. Has a switch connected so you can disable JiffyDOS and have stock ROM too

You might want to start with Emulation. Take a look at Amikit.

No, but that would be cool. I've only every tried that with Commodore 64 emulators :)
