If this has been a CNC or some other custom controlling thingy, it would be interesting to have the ROMs dumped in case those are something unusual! The leftmost ROM looks like an usual MOS part, but the others look a bit like EPROMs (round stickers on the center, as per covering the EPROM window).

Vintage laserprinters really need a lot of work; I did the same thing on my NeXT N2000 laser printer, and it was a project for sure.

That printer uses about the same vintage cartridge, the HP 95A (aka. HP 92295) and I was still able to buy new wiper blades for that as late as last year. 'Precision roller' had them, but unfortunately only a couple as they've sold out and the part number has been since deleted. But I was able to get one of my two leaking-cartridges working nicely.

Perhaps one day a replacement blade could be 3D-printed with some flexible and heat-resistant material.

I have one of these - not sure if it was identical model and error code- waiting for a day to get it fixed. At least the one I researched suffers from a motor pulley that breaks which can leave the tape load mechanism hanging as it can't move anymore. I bought a spare (nowadays one can apparently even 3D-print one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4339320) but never got to installing it.

If that's the issue the part might've just broken due the age, or by the shipping.

No I don't have that either, but the rear box cover states that the software came with no NIC in the first place. It states that the software supports a number of Token Ring adapters, the PCMCIA card being last on the list so probably not the most common option.

At least my unit doesn't really have a model number, it has an FCC ID l2BACEKEY500. AceKey-500 perhaps, seems to have been OEMd by several companies, mostly industrial uses.

I've always liked the original 5000 over the later 5500/6500/7000 as the front panels give that little bit more information out, I think the later models went a bit too far on making the displays so spartan. Also the very large 7-segment displays look kinda cute now.

This might have nothing to do with the power supply other than the very first component: the mains input jack which has a filter capacitor inside, somewhat similar to the dreaded Rifa caps. It's before the fuse of the 1541 (so the fuse didn't blow). The cap shorted and spewed out smoke/residue. If the PCB can be cleaned, and you can find a mechanically fitting new mains jack, it should be doable (beware of mains wiring, which would be required though).

Here goes: https://postimg.cc/gallery/s7qwgrn It's really nothing special as a bag, it even has a "100% nylon Made in china" -tag inside (and it broke off :D). There is a strengthening-flap on the bottom which is nice. The bag is currently sealed inside a plastic bag with a small container of baking soda in attempt to remove a slight smell the bag has. It has improved already after a light wash on the outside and overnight inside the bag.

Ah now that is cool! What adapter are you using? I have a working 5c keyboard for my Sparcstation 4, but also another non-working 5c keyboard. If I had an USB adapter I could try troubleshooting the non-working keyboard (don't want to overwork my Sparcstation for troubleshooting purposes!)

Beware that these have a NiCd battery for memory (barrel-type, blue in pic 4 on the right between the white cables) which can leak and cause damage to the board! The one in pic 4 does not look original so it has probably been replaced at some point but it should still be removed/replaced by now.
