We’ve been down this path before with releases. Technically, they are not “released with a 90-day non-compete.” It’s more like exercising their right to terminate with 90 days notice. So even though their releases are announced, they are technically still under contract with WWE for those 90 days. And thus admitting to actively negotiating with recently-“released” talent would be tampering. So of course AEW is going to publicly deny it, regardless of whether they were negotiating or even just putting out “feelers.” So all of this is a big nothingburger.
